This afternoon is going well too! I'm out at one of my favorite spots to enjoy some iced-tea and I brought the laptop with me to see if the new security program is working or could get fixed with the support center. Sure enough ,,,, they looked at the problem remotely and fixed the one option that I kept missing to see. Life is good again........ And I can now remotely view the security cameras from anyplace that I can connect the laptop with. I just can't answer the doorbell if someone comes a knockin',,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lol

Also the weather is perfect "again" today.

Yesterday afternoon I planted some new bushes in the backyard, early this morning it rained to help water them and start them on their way to growing bigger. The sun is out, the breeze is cool and the rain last night was just what was needed in our area.

Don't ya love it when a plan comes together!

Unlike the first three days of driving my taxi this week, last night I moved more than I sat. The feature on my GPS lets me know I moved 7 hrs. 35 min. and stopped 3hrs. 31min.. That is !

Thumbs up Honoring achievements of students

Last night Mrs Aks & I were invited to attend a special dinner at the state university honoring those graduates of an alumni that achieved high levels of academic studies in their field of study. This special alumni group had received full scholarships in helping them through school as they are all of special needs from low income families. It was such an eye opener to see the high quality students as young adults who have studies so hard and made something of themselves that otherwise would have slipped away and our community and society would have lost the great potential of them.

Our adopted family of the dear friend (a single mother of three) had both of her sons attending this event. One is graduating and the other is finishing his freshmen year. What an honor for this hard working mother to see her sons achieve excellence at this event. I was so happy that they invited us to attend with them.
