I was traveling for work, in another state, and had a tire blow out on my SUV ten miles off the interstate literally in the middle of nowhere. Not a house in sight! It was almost dark. I started trying to figure out how to put the jack together.

Then I heard a pickup truck coming down the gravel crossroad. It was a farmer who had seen me while he was working in his fields, and he got off his tractor and into his truck and came to change my tire.

It only took him a few minutes to change the tire but in that time two more people stopped to see if they could help.

I was dragged to go shopping today with Mrs Aks to the factory outlet stores. I found two shirts at 60% off that seemed to be just what I needed. We also found a nice graduation gift for our favorite young man who is finished with his schooling at the university. So things went well for the most part during the shopping.

When we got home a neighbor called and thanked me for attending and helping at the meeting last week and wanted to see if we could get together tomorrow to work out some details on a neighborhood project together.

Are you ready for this? Dona Eunice lives with an income of 540 Reais (about 310 US dollars), and the help of some partners. She only went to school until fifth grade.

Finally found a coffee that really does taste smooth! I've been trying everything and all of it tastes bitter as if every coffee bean is from the same pile. That wouldn't surprise me since we already know that Starbucks laughs with glee while dumping the same coffee bean into all those pretty bags with different names. If you recall that was on the news a few years ago. An employee on the assembly line "spilled the beans." Anyhow, I went to Big Lots for a cleaning tool and passed the coffee shelf and saw a brand I not seen before. The bag shows "Oslo" premium cafe coffee - smooth, sweet & lively. It's good! Gotta get back over and stock up!

^^^ Oh,,, I can’t drink Starbucks coffee because it’s overly strong. I do drink tons of McD’s coffee when I’m out and about. At home we buy both regular and decaf Columbian coffee beans, mix them and then do a fresh grind each morning to make a pot of coffee. It’s never bitter.
