Default What sounds get on your nerves?

Right now mine is garbage trucks. I live in a cul de sac so I can hear it from one end to the other but man why are these trucks so loud?
Im referring to the engine "waamph" Then you had the squeek of the can lifter the sound of your trash can being pounded as it emptying. Squeeky brakes and I dont know what I am hearing right now from it but it sounds like yanking a chicken by the neck.

Im going to scream !! It is backing up now so now that beep beep beep ah so called city life can get on your nerves

I got to make it a habit of not to be home on Tuesdays It starts around 6:30 a.m . Yard waste about 10 then recycles around 3:00.

Calgon take me away

Somebody playing rap at an annoyingly very loud level while you're driving, especially while you're stopped at an intersection! There's nothing more annoying than hearing and feeling that "ThUMP THUMP THUMP", even when the windows are closed!

Maybe if it was Rock 'n Roll, it wouldn't be so annoying!

The elevator in the bank where I work has a very, very loud "bong" sound when the doors open. I work as the receptionist. So I'm out here in the lobby right with it all day long. It's so loud that even people on the phone with me have heard it and commented. I try to just tune it out, but it's hard!

I learned some time ago that I am kinda sensitive in general to noise I don't like. Rap and the beep, beep, beep of vehicles backing up annoys me too, just for the record. And you're right, Mike, I would not find rock and roll so annoying!

Sirens. They make me feel very tense. Screaming on movies. I don't watch those movies but when someone else is I have to leave the room or house if I'm visiting.

My neighbor starts up his desiel dump truck every morning around 5am. It annoys be because the stupid truck shouldn't be there in the 1st place. We're just waiting for code enforcement to take care of the problem.

Seems like all the news programs where they have differing opinions-the raised voices/over-talking and getting louder and louder to drown the other out.

Oh... that would get on my nerves! LOL!

I have very good hearing. I can hear dog whistles. Some think it's a good thing... I tend to be more annoyed by hearing everything.

Some sounds that bother me:

* Dog barking and the people who chose to not hear their own dog barking (bad owners; there is no excuse).

*Loud thumping stereo's (there's a reason I don't own that song; don't play it so loud so I can hear it thinking you're doing me a favor).

*The reving of engines (I have a neighbor that thinks this is the way you fix a car; no lie).

*The sound of dirtbikes/ atv's (there's a reason all the open land around here is privately owned... we don't want you riding on it!)

* Leaf blowers (um... what happened to the good old fashioned rake? No... really!)

* Crying, screaming children (parents, pay attention to your kids and if they're crying or screaming for no reason, ignoring it won't make it go away, der!)

*Distant hammering (7 houses have been built around here since we moved... one right after another. The hammering needs to stop!)

People eating really loud- smacking noises/chewing with gobs of food in their mouth and just smack smack smack.... oh, it is just gross.... Or when they think they have to CHOMP on their food. Like when they are eating carrots or chips and they think others want to hear how LOUD they can eat. Oh, I don't like the sounds of people eating..... I think people should use thier manners and eat quietly.....

LOL... that's almost like the thumpin' stereos.

It's like someone's thinking, "I paid 99 cents for this ringtone... and I know you ALL wanna hear this song. You can thank me later!"
