Ditto;

DH and I were sitting watching TV one fine summer day. Up the road from us on the busier street is McD's, Taco B and B King. Now these places DO HAVE seating, parking lots and TRASH containers. A ford pickup truck stopped across the street, 2 guys muching away on their mickyd's ah ha there goes a straw paper out the window. The guys take off and lo and behold there's the bag filled with the trash left on my neighbors property. I went out took pictures (love my digital camera) and was about to throw the stuff in the trash. The guys left the reciept in the bag. DH went up to McD's complained to the manager. Manager saw that it was a drive up window order. Checked his cameras and there was the pix of the guys same license plate number I wrote down. Called cops...there is littering signs posted fines etc... Cops wouldn't do anything!!!!!! The manager even came down and apologised to us and the neighbors. BUT litterbugs got off.

SR. thank you for your efforts. Too bad law enforcement did nothing. We find trash at the end of the driveway from the state highway many times. Esp. during the summer months. Some of us around here 'police' the area and dump stuff into the trash.

Wonder what litter bugs would think/do if others did what they do????

Litter bugs think everyonelse will pick up their litter.

I think some states if you are caught throwing trash out a car window, your fined.

Along with original peeve here is that the trash haulers trucks get so full and they rush so.
On my way home one day I was about 3 or 4 vehicles behind the trash truck. Waste was being blown out of the top of it. How I have no clue. I thought the top was a closed one. But plastic store bags and lightweigt paper was spewing out of it and around that neighborhood. They weren't making any stops, so they must have been on their way to the disposal area. Also they grab up the barrels and the barrel is in an almost dump position before it gets to the lip of the truck. never fails that those same small bags and paper stuffs end up being blown around the neighborhood. My fenceline has many up against it, but what really breaks my heart are the bags that get blown into trees, caught in them and then the wildlife has to deal with it, and sometimes it proves fatal.
My yard is only fenced two sides, and I get so much of other peoples trash. I've walked the yard picking it up by hand and in spring it is not uncommen for me to end up with 2 kitchen sized bags full. Then there are the jerks that throw beer cans/bottles in yards. Sometimes liquid in them, we never know if it's beer or someone decided to be an a$$ and pee in it. Oh it gets my dander up!!!!

My DH and I used to live in a town where there was a lot of trash on the roads. The excuse was the prisoners will pick it up. There is a prison in the county and they go out on "trash" patrol.

Littering is a "mega huge" peeve for my hubby. He says it should be a federal offense. I can't blame him. We have some beautiful natural land around here and it breaks our hearts to see how man can trash it up. They should be hung.

I get upset seeing so many pickup trucks (and others) driving with a load of junk in the back that they are moving and it’s falling out of their truck all over the road. It’s sad to see a cushion from a couch or chair laying along side the road that fell off a truck while moving to another location. Ya just know someone needed it and will never drive back to find it.
