We have a very plain door with a very plain glass insert in the top half. My doggies would be lost without their window on the world!
I'd love to have a door with a beautiful glass insert and matching side windows if it would only look into the entryway and not the living area. However, I'd be cautious about installing such a door. As kaykay said, they have their drawbacks.

Wow, I can't believe what a difference 5 minutes of daylight a day can make. We're finally catching up with you people in the Lower 48. Pretty soon, we'll have more light than we know what to do with!

Kitchen messes -- Aren't they fun!?!!!
A kitchen fire once made us "spill" the fire extinguisher. Talk about a mess!!!
An exploding casserole dish left a huge burn in the vinyl at another home.
More recently, my darling daughter--for reasons known only to her--put the dog's leftover food in the fridge where it proceeded to gel quite nicely, thank you! When I took it out, I was amazed at the "staying power" it had, and demonstrated by turning the dish upside down--much to the delight of my daughter. Since hubby wanted to know what was so funny, I performed the trick again. This time, however, the whole lot came racing out of the bowl; the kitchen looked like it had been hit with shrapnel! And the ungrateful dogs wouldn't even help me clean it up.

Curly, your mystery dog is going in my humor book!

After reading the comments in the blow-up doll thread, perhaps "making" a friend isn't such a good idea.
I think I'll try being a friend, instead.

[b]Today's Question(s):
Is your front door plain or does it have the fancy glass inserts ? Small glass insert.
Which do you prefer ? I'm not into a lot of glass on the door, since it's easy for burglars to break the window and simply reach in and unlock to the door to get in.
Bonus Question:
Wow, I can't believe what a difference a migraine free day can make ?
Extra Credit Question:

What are some of the "oops" you have spilled on your kitchen floor? What haven't I spilled!

Today's Question(s):
Is your front door plain or does it have the fancy glass inserts ?
Gots me a bit of fancy glasswork here.
Which do you prefer ?
Doors with glass look nice in my opinion but I'm lucky because I live in quite a safe area. If I was living somewhere with crackheads scuttling around outside then I'd probably go for the plain, stainless steel, mega-boltage look.

What are some of the "oops" you have spilled on your kitchen floor?
I'm actually pretty good at keeping fluids off the kitchen floor but when it comes to the office I'm always spilling stuff. The keyboard I'm typing on now has had an entire cup of coffee filter through it and still it plods on. Oh the wonders of technology.

I dropped a whole turkey on the floor....luckily it was BEFORE the family came for Thanksgiving and no one ever knew. They thought it was 'extra juicy'.

Hope I'm not too late for today's Q. This week is a long work week...long days, long nights....
My front door is beveled glass with frosted side panes. I was worried at first about people seeing in, but it kind of has a prism effect. You have to put your eye right up to the glass before you can actually make out anything inside.
Wow, I can't believe what a difference only 3 hours of sleep can make ?
Spilled a quart of floral conditioner last night. It tipped over on the counter & I didn't notice until it had spread across the floor. It has the consistency of peach syrup. Swear words were spoken freely.

Today's Question(s):
Is your front door plain or does it have the fancy glass inserts ? I have a fancy glass front door.
Which do you prefer ? Since I have a mud-room, I like the glass door, if someone looks in they only see the water heater and tool boxes and stuff....but if it were a main entrance that allowed people to see inside my home, I would have just a small peek window at the top of the door.
Bonus Question:
Wow, I can't believe what a difference ____a few degrees________ can make ?

Today's Question(s):
Is your front door plain or does it have the fancy glass inserts ? Stained fiberglass with leaded glass inserts in the door and sidelights. We had to replace the old one because it leaked and we decided -"What the Heck". Sometimes I think the door might be worth more than the rest of the house.
Which do you prefer ? Actually it depends. Our porch really provides a lot of shade so the glass was really necessary to keep the entryway from being too dark but we needed something that would still provide a little privacy. Some houses look better though with plain doors.
By the way, our door is a right hand inswinging door.

What are some of the "oops" you have spilled on your kitchen floor? I guess a ham would be the worst. My wife baked a ham in the oven in a Pyrex dish and when she went to take it out, the dish exploded and we had ham and glass all over. Fortunately she was not cut or burned and the insurance replaced the 1 year old floor covering that was melted by the hot glass.
