Red face Yes, it's another "sappy" Valentine's Day thread, but do you have a "special song?"

Noting that his dad & I referred to a song as "our song," my teen-age son asked me one time how a song gets to be "your song."

Do you and your sweetie have a "special song?" How DID it get to be your song?

My husband and I have 2. One is "Unforgettable" originally by Nat King Cole and later a remixed duet of Nat and his daughter Natalie. The second one is "When I Fall in Love, It will Be Forever" by Celine Dion. (I think this one was actually also Nat's years ago originally.)

We have a couple of special songs.

Number one:

I Cross My Heart by George Strait(That song came on TV last night and my DH turned it up while we danced and he sang to me.) My hubby is so special.

Also-
How Do I Live Trisha Yearwood

and

You're Still The One Shania Twain

When we first started to date, the song Passionate Kisses came out and it quickly became our song. We also get emotional over James Taylor's song In My Mind I'm Go'n To Carolina.

My husband and I have a song....

Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden

It just describes our relationship perfectly.

Now if we are talking about personal songs then it's a toss up between:

Much too Young (To Feel This Da*n Old) by Garth Brooks

or

Bad Reputation by Joan Jett

On a side note, every time I hear Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses I think of my Grandmother since she has her own flower business and going to her house is like walking through a jungle!

"Love You Till The End" by The Pogues.

YouTube - Love You Till The End - the pogues

It's on the soundtrack to a great movie called "P.S.I Love You".

How did we get it? We heard it and LOVED it and now, whenever one of us says "I Love You" the other always says "Till the end".

"Can't get over you so why don't you get under me" is our favorite. A close second is "Do the bunny hop."

Good choice! I think too, that Georgia Satellites and 'Keep Your Hands To Yourself' was a good one, we used to do that one in the band I was in, back in Az.
