I put an ad on Craigslist looking for a competitive dance partner (I like to branch out ... expand my horizons, if you will). I was very specific in what I was and was not looking for. I stated in the ad that I was already on all the ballroom websites in the 'partner search' categories. Did I even get one person who was actually interested in what I was advertising for??? Hell no! I got men who wanted to hook up, women who wanted to know if I can teach them to dance, people who wanted to "inform" me that there are dance websites I should advertise on, men sending me naked pics, etc., etc., etc. Guess I won't be advertising on Craigslist again.

I shop jobs on Craigslist and most of the people who want something done want an estimate without allowing you to see the property or job to be done. They are unrealistic on how much they want to pay and jerk people around as if they are in a hurry for you to perform a miracle. I had one guy who I told to buy some lumber, he bought the cheapest crap he could find, it fell apart and then he acted like he was mad and that it was my fault that it was taking so long, then he only wanted to pay me 50 dollars for two days work. If they can't afford help they should hire illegal aliens. They expect to pay slave wages and have you perform miracles. When you can't do an impossible job, then they act like it is YOUR fault. I had one lady make me drive to East Mesa to tell me that she wanted me to make a plastic vertical blind headrail fit in a window opening that was too small and insisted that her dead husband (she obviously still wanted to argue with him about it, since she didn't know why he took it down) had taken it down from there but she knew it fit there. I showed her it didn't fit and she still argued and said, "Oh, well then you don't know what you're doing! Sorry you wasted your time coming out here!" This is the kind of customers I have found on Craig's list. There is one guy who wants you to go buy a whole window and sell him parts of it as if that will profit you. Stupid, irrational people advertise on Craig's list. There is one lady, who calls herself Noelle (PostingID: 2579317424) who jerked me around for three days asking for a ride from Mesa to Phoenix to go to court, haggling over a price, and then tells me when I finally ask for her address that she shouldn't have asked, that it was "inappropriate". One woman wants a window fixed, a wheelchair ramp built, then quit answering my phone calls after I bought the materials.

^^ yeah Craig's list can have it's problems too. I've never looked for a job there but I did have good luck selling things. You always have to be careful.
