Today's Question:
If you have to bring someone in to do work around the house, who is the "lucky" person that gets to make the calls, get the estimates, etc ? ~ Mrs AksarbeN,,, she’s very good at this type of work and dealing with contractors. They don’t get away with anything when she’s on the job.
Bonus Question:
The "Athletic Fairy" (2nd cousin to the, well we still trying to figure this out ) is stopping by to visit.
Which sporting/athletic ability would you like her to bestow upon you for the upcoming weekend ? ~ anything that would qualify me for the “Olympic gold metals” would be fine.
Extra Credit Question:
Do you buy your stamps in a book or a roll ? ~ book only, can’t afford the rolls.
Just for fun:
What did you do to entertain yourself while waiting for "you know who" to stop running around and get the ? posted ? ~ I went out for breakfast, visited with a friend, did a neighborhood patrol, pulled weeds in the yard, checked with several businesses in the commercial area about a problem, made two important phone calls.
I’m thinking that Karla being tardy should spend time in her room like Mike for the rest of the day.
“if you ask me ~ anyway “ LOL

If you have to bring someone in to do work around the house, who is the "lucky" person that gets to make the calls, get the estimates, etc ?
Since this is a household of one, I do it all.
Which sporting/athletic ability would you like her to bestow upon you for the upcoming weekend ?
I'd love to be able to walk for hours again.
Do you buy your stamps in a book or a roll ?
Book. Used to buy by the roll, but the post office made a habit of raising the price every time I turned around and I got tired of needing to add penny stamps to the remaining stamps on the roll.
What did you do to entertain yourself while waiting for "you know who" to stop running around and get the ? posted
Went on about my day.

Today's Question:
If you have to bring someone in to do work around the house, who is the "lucky" person that gets to make the calls, get the estimates, etc ?
That would be me. It's a trade-off, you see; I work about ten miles from the house, and it isn't feasible for me to be gone for extended periods when the workers are actually here, so I get the telephoning, organizing, bid-assessing and bill-paying part of the job. My spouse's office is less than a mile from the house - so close, in fact, that most days he walks to work - and it's at least a little easier for him to juggle time off if needs be to be around while the work is going on. We both work, we both contribute to the process; seems fair.
Bonus Question:
The "Athletic Fairy" (2nd cousin to the, well we still trying to figure this out) is stopping by to visit.
Which sporting/athletic ability would you like her to bestow upon you for the upcoming weekend ?
???? Absolutely no clue here, I'm afraid. Unless marathon reading is an athletic activity; then you can zap me with marathon readerliness. I heartily despise all forms of spectator sports, and haven't engaged in any participatory ones since about a decade and a half before I had my hip replaced.
Extra Credit Question:
Do you buy your stamps in a book or a roll ?
Used to always get a roll, but since both my folks died, I do a lot less letter-writing. And the Post Awful keeps jacking the prices up so fast that the last couple rolls I got, we didn't use more than 20 of them before I had to run out and get a bunch of penny or two-penny stamps to supplement them with. Finally gave in and now we just get the pack of 20. And I'm hoping that I can get through the dozen or so I've got right now before that next rate hike they want in May gets approved.
Just for fun:
What did you do to entertain yourself while waiting for "you know who" to stop running around and get the ? posted ?
Well, I don't know that I'd call it entertaining, but I went to the office, finished putting together a meeting agenda, sent a "dear idiot" email to a vendor that had proposed a particularly ridiculous deal, and got about halfway through my department meeting by the time you posted the question, Karla.

If you have to bring someone in to do work around the house, who is the "lucky" person that gets to make the calls, get the estimates, etc ? That woud be me.
Which sporting/athletic ability would you like her to bestow upon you for the upcoming weekend ? I am going to visit my Grandkids - I can sure use some extra strength in my arms next week.
Do you buy your stamps in a book or a roll ? A forever book.
What did you do to entertain yourself while waiting for "you know who" to stop running around and get the ? posted ? Got a phone call that completely changed my moving plans. I've taken a walk and watched a flock of birds land and take off numerous times in the field in front of the house. In a state of shock! Three weeks away from moving - more than half my stuff in boxes. I am thanking my angels for saving me.

My favorite sport to participate in - swimming. Michael Phelps, eat your heart out.
Extra Credit Question:
Do you buy your stamps in a book or a roll ?
Book. I've only bought a roll a few times. I like to slip a book of stamps under the plastic dimm-ah-flotch-ee in the checkbook. So for those bills I don't yet pay online, there is a stamp RIGHT there when it is needed.
