Question Simple pleasures

In a world full of complexities, higher technologies, and chaos, what simple pleasures do you still enjoy/appreciate?

My "simple pleasure" includes digital photography of urban areas. I've averaged about one photo tour of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre metro per month since I've joined this site, but I'm gearing up to bring people bi-daily tours once wintry weather abates in another month or so. Relocation interest to my area has been "heating up" in recent years, and I think photographing specific neighborhoods and uploading them to forums like this is the best way to let people see what the chamber of commerce won't show them!

Um what I do? Sleeeeeeep in clean cotton sheets with lots of soft pillows, take luxurious baths, look at the bird feeder through my office window, walk around the yard in the late afternoon, watch the goats in the field next door, drink good coffee, look at city-data, I'm pretty easy to please.

I'm also easy to please. I make sure that daily I enjoy the simple pleasures of life which include:

my dogs and their shenanigans
birds chirping
the loveliness of nature (sunrises, sunsets, trees, flowers)
thoughts of my grown children
thoughts of my parents and grandparents, God rest their souls
walking
a cup or two of coffee while chillin' at the computer
goofing off at work so we all don't go nuts working with teens

So much to love, and so inexpensive. It doesn't get any better!!

Simple pleasures to me are enjoying the birds in my yard and at the park. I also enjoy playing with kids next door. Just sitting with my husband and not talking but just enjoying being with each other, need to do more of that.

Oh I agree with that. The furkids and their shenanigans. They can always put a smile on my face. Or a tear in my eye thinking of a dearly departed furkid.

I have been finding the importance more and more of the simple pleasures. Walking, reading, minor baking (cupcakes) have become fun.

Watching the birds on my feeder while drinking good German coffee. I have a magpie that visits every morning around the same time and he is a joy to watch.

My attitude must be in the dumps - I really thought more of you would laugh and say, you "don't have time", or "what is that?" It is sooo nice to know that there are people like you all out there who still know what a simple pleasure is and can say they get to enjoy it pretty regularly. Good for you!! It really is the simple things in life... (I know, a bit cliche-ish, but nevertheless, true.) Keep posting and have fun thinking of your simple pleasures....
