Default My happy thing 3-06-09

My turn!

My happy thing today is the weather......

Seriously, we are having what we call "Chamber of Commerce" weather.

It's just a little bit brisk in the morning (my favorite time of the day btw) the getting up to the high 70's with no humidity.

Knowing it won't last for much longer makes it even more enjoyable.

So...what's your happy thing today!

Oh, KG, I'd have to agree with you on the weather - the skies are clear this morning as the sun comes up, gilding the eastern horizon with light, and we're already at 42 degrees at dawn, heading to a high of 56 this afternoon! I've been watching my garden beds, looking for the first shoots of crocus and hyacinth to start peeking out from the edges of the dirty snowbanks as they recede, and I can't wait to get my fingers into the dirt again.

We still may get more snow before winter relinquishes its grip for this year, but today I'm going to enjoy the feeling of freedom that I always feel on the first day I can walk around outdoors without a coat on.

Happy Friday to all!

I love the phrase "chamber of commerce weather."

Along these (weather) lines I am enjoying seeing all the flowering trees start to push forth the next crop of petals. Many trees have leaf buds too. This after snow and ice last week. Nature is an awesome thing, no?

My happy thing today certainly is not the weather, it snowed today.
