BOULDER, Colo., March 10 (UPI) -- Two self-proclaimed cheapskate brothers in Colorado said they have been exchanging the same birthday card since 1973.

Dan Culberson, 68, and his brother Darryl, 62, said the tradition began in 1973 when they decided to stop exchanging birthday presents and Darryl purchased the greeting -- which bears the message "The Phantom Cheapo strikes again!" -- for his Boulder-based brother's January birthday, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported.

We got a plate in the shape of a fish as a wedding present. We threatened to pass it off at he next occasion and figured it would make the rounds through the family. Too bad we didn't follow through.
