I hate when the dentist re-arranges your teeth like that. BTDT. Feel better.

So my cheap boss said it'll be coming out of our backsides if he sees an excessively high utilities bill again due to the AC being on. Well today was our first AC-less day. Perfect timing. It was 90+ outside, humid, and we were confined to a 60 square foot pizzeria with an open air oven that's 465 degrees.

Trying to get pdf files transferred off of the pc and onto disc. I know there's a simple way but this is my Vista machine and I'm not familiar with it. My XP was simple to find and copy files. I don't want to even talk about the new laptop with Windows 7. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Please give me back the old DOS machines.

Stressing that congress hasn't yet passed the unemployment extensions.

I hate meeting with the city officials and I've got another one this morning that I'm not looking forward to. Gotta get ready and go soon. However it needs to be done, and I need to talk with and listen to what they have to say. Maybe we can get together on the outcome of issues that works for both city and residents.

Ok, so there's this guy at work who is buddies with the manager. They make a great pair: both have perfected the art of "looking busy" while in reality both are lazy and about as motivated as a herd of turtles. This guy is so confident that he actually announced the other day that he is the "Golden Child" and can never get in any trouble at work (because he and the manager are such good buds). I'm getting really irritated with him. He comes and goes at will, is never on time for his scheduled duties (which makes others have to stay longer waiting for him), and people are constantly having to search for him. When he does manage to make an appearance at the front desk, he is there less than 5 minutes then says he "has to go to the bathroom". That takes at least 15 minutes. Then he leaves the desk to go wander somewhere else while people are forming a line waiting to be checked out. He got his yesterday evening though- the other girl and I were busy checking in materials and a patron came to him to be checked out. This old man had a whole load of books on hold so the "Golden Child" had to check him out. When someone has that many books/items to check out, the rest of us at the desk try to help stamp the items to hurry the process along, but we just ignored him and so he had to do it all by himself. What goes around comes around!
