stupid emails forwarded
Checking on emails this morning and I get one of those “chain emails” that people enjoy sending for some reason. This one however is so stupid I can’t believe anyone would “forward” it to their friends or family. What a waste of energy originating an email of false and misleading information! It totally discredits anything coming from them.
Please people! BEFORE you forward on an email of a subject that is questionable,,,,, “research the information yourself”, don’t simply add to the list of idiots out there pushing “propaganda” manure ! You have to be smarter than that!
It's as bad as reading some of the political postings in the other forum that have no value or truth to them.

Yikes ...I never venture into the political forum. It's simply too dangerous , and I find myself getting annoyed with some of the stuff that is posted. I'll just stay here in O/T where everything is cool, and the people rock.

I agree, gang. Watching the news in the morning is depressing enough. I don't need emails or forums to tell me for whom I should vote and why.
I have told our kitties time and time again that there are two rules in this house by which they need to abide:
1) no shedding
2) no hairballs.
But do they listen??? Nnnnooooooooooooo. My big heavy quilt is now in the wash machine. It'll take half the day to dry.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels this way. OT is the best place to be if you ask me.

I've received emails from a niece of mine in Ohio and some other contacts of mine, promoting Viagra for
a "Canadian Pharmicutical" website.
Then I found that others were receive scams that were sent using my Yahoo email address.
After Further research I found that these sites were illegal pharmicutical Co's hacking address books (mostly Yahoo) and using the contacts for illegal advertisment.
Email add's are also copied from mass emails being sent. I suggest, if you send an email to more that one person, use BCC.
I had to completely delete my Yahoo and Yahoo Messenger account in order to stop my email address from being used.
No matter what they say, Yahoo is an unprotected site.
They will block a member from sending out before blocking a scammer from breaking in.
Just some friendly advise.

When I get those stupid emails (usually from newer email users), I just look up Snopes and forward the truth back to the person ... Yeah ... It embarrasses them but serves them right

LOL! Did you know that the bulk of my first two years on CD was spent in Politics?????? Most of my rep points for my first star was given in that forum (1 point at an agonizing time) so I worked HARD for that first star LOL! I since then got my head examined and decided to stay in Other Topics WHERE LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ALL THE TIME

Guess it is good that I never utilized the yahoo address I created in the past ... I did not like the hassle of verifying myself by typing those funky characters each time I sent out an email. With all that hassle, you'd think that their site would be secure. Hotmail is better as they have better spam controls.

You know I was thinking about little kids as I have had the opportunity to spend sometime with a couple. They don't know anything about Mother Goose and they couldn't give a hang about nursery rhymes... I tell who they do know and that is Bubble Guppies and Dora the Explorer. It's kinda sad.
