My happy today is the good night's sleep that I had last night.

It doesn't happen as often as I'd like, but every once in a while I get to bed at a reasonable time, fall asleep right away, and stay that way all night long. On a really good night, I'll awaken, slept out, before the alarm goes off. It feels so good to stretch out languorously, feeling each muscle awaken slowly and knowing that the day is off to a great start because I'm not still half asleep.

So what is your happy today, on this or any other subject?

Oh no! No one has a happy thing today? I had a hard day with my kids while hubby was at work, and I actually thought a number of times of my old long-gone days before kids and how I would love that today. BUT....
then my DD started pretending she was a train, arm motions and all around the house.
DS sat and snuggled with me as HE read ME a book...
DH called just to say hi....

So I'm happy for what I have!

MBW - I am happy that I can get a good night's sleep, that I don't have have insomnia, as some do. My only beef is that work can really mess up the old sleep schedule, but that's life in the big city.

Firefighter Mom - that sounds like a wonderful day and a wonderful family!
