Hi Alice! Ya hit home again, today! In my last job (driving for the same company) they paid us by the hour. I've always believed in putting a hustle on at work and the "slow leakers" would just aggravate the daylights out of me. It got so that I refused to go anywhere in convoy with a couple of our drivers. (They're no longer with the company; surprise!)

How about people that just work slow period. I swear I somehow get into lines where the checkers are either new or just dang slow. They take their time scanning, make mistakes and call for someone to help, chat with the customers, and generally move in slow motion.

I have to add that I can't stand grocery cashiers who don't know how to bag properly...one bag weighs a ton, another has one thing in it, or they put the bread in with the apples...drives me nuts. DH's first job was a bagger for Giant and it drives him crazy!
I have had to ask cashiers to doublebag heavy things such as juice bottles. If I pick up a bag off their carousel and it's too heavy, I will rebag it myself in front of them. Very annoying! Like I am strong enough to carry that, or even want to try. I love it when I get a nice cashier who knows how to bag!

Oh and how about the cashiers who bag your meats with other foods like fresh produce I always stop them and ask for a new bag, or grab a bag and start to separate it myself. I kindly explain to them about cross-contamination and how it can make one very sick. Sigh,
