The school district is getting about the same level of state aid as last year, which really doesn't address increasing costs.

In Honor of Sliced bread day, how many types of bread do you have in your home ?

No, the Mets don't need Gary Sheffield. They turned down a healthy Manny Ramirez so why would they then sign a broken-down 40 year old curmudgeon like Sheffield.

Have you ever made homemade bread ?

I find that the automatic payment system works well as long as you have the correct balance in your checking account, or you'll start bouncing payments all over the planet!

The "Gardening Fairy" is stopping by to visit you today, what is the one item she can bring you ?

I can't watch American Idol any more. Now, it's less about the music and more about the drama and the promotion of Coca-Cola.

Today's Question(s):

Will you be having April Showers that will bring May flowers in your neck of the woods today?

We might have April showers but they won't bring any flowers, they'll just bring us closer to winter. It looked kind of grey for the first time today.

Bonus Question:

In Honor of Sliced bread day

How many types of bread do you have in your home ?

Just one usually, wholemeal. Sometimes I get Turkish bread rolls.

Have you every made homemade bread ?

Yes and I really like it. I go for convenience at the moment though because of study.

Extra Credit Question:

The "Gardening Fairy" is stopping by to visit you today, what is the one item she can bring you ?

A green thumb.

Today in History:
1748 Ruins of Pompeii found A point in history I have always been fascinated by. I have two decorative urns that a friend bought back from Pompeii for me and my favourite novel is "The Last Days of Pompeii" by Lord Lytton (Bulwer)

New Month so lots to list

Today's Question(s):

Will you be having April Showers that will bring May flowers in your neck of the woods today?

We're having April SNOW showers here today, thank you very much.... NOT. My poor daffs, crocus, tulips and hyacinth are so very confused that I wouldn't blame them for just giving up!

Bonus Question:

In Honor of Sliced bread day

How many types of bread do you have in your home ?

Well, there's always the usual loaf of sliced whole wheat in the fridge. We've got a couple of bags of home-made stuffing croutons (some sourdough, some whole wheat) in the deep freeze. And I think there's still part of a loaf of wonderful rosemary-olive oil bread in the cabinet, unless the spouse got the midnight hungries and finished it off last night.

Have you ever made homemade bread ?
I have once or twice, but the extraordinarily gifted fellow I'm married to does so on a regular basis. We always have fresh home-made bread for holiday meals, and he often gets the bread-baking itch and just makes up a fresh loaf. Have I ever mentioned that I am a lucky, lucky gal?

Extra Credit Question:

The "Gardening Fairy" is stopping by to visit you today, what is the one item she can bring you ?

A new pair of knees, so I can get down to ground level to plant and weed and care for my garden beds without having to take Ibuprofen for days afterward.
