Were there any special things your Senior class did?
I don't remember anything specific that my senior class did, however, I do vividly remember my eighth grade trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania. I know ... I know ... it's International Moments of Laughter Day and you're waiting for the punch line. Well, on that bus trip, sitting in the seat behind me, was the future Mrs. Charley, who hung out with me that day ... and has continued to hang out with me for the last forty three years! Next week, we will celebrate our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary.

Today's Question(s):
How many kids were in your High School graduation class ?
There were 41 of us, and it was the biggest graduating class in the history of the school.
And the really funny thing is that I grew up and went to school in a major metropolitan region (the Detroit area of Michigan), where most high school graduating classes were over 500 strong. My folks had this notion to send me to a school that they thought would provide a superior education to that offered in the public schools, which turned out not to be the case at all. I spent most of my high school years sitting in the library reading rather than going to classes, never did pass Algebra 1, and it took me several decades to actually gain enough study skills to earn a college degree. In hindsight, I suspect that if my parents had ever known what their hard-earned money was funding, they'd probably have yanked me out and sent me to the public schools.
Bonus Question:
Were there any special things your Senior class did ?
(class trip , senior day, senior prank, etc)
Not really. The whole school had this sort of elitist, "we're better than the rest of the world" kind of attitude, and most of the students there were way too stuck up to do anything as plebian as having a senior day or other "normal" activities. They didn't have proms, didn't wear cap-n-gown for graduations, and the year I was a senior, didn't have a football team, either. Very strange place.
Extra Credit Question:
How many dictionaries do you have in your home ?
Oh, we're down to only about 4 or 5 right now. Both of our kids moved out, and they each took a dictionary with them, so we don't have as many as usual. I'm fantasizing about getting the spouse the OED on CD for Christmas this year.

Congratulations Charley and Mrs. C too.
Today's Question(s):
How many kids were in your High School graduation class ? We had 127. If there had not been the pressure for consolidation back then, there would have been 42 (Largest in the school history). Instead the district was split and about 20 went to one school and the rest went to a different neighboring district. The interesting thing is that they were talking about the better education and better quality extras we could get at the larger school, but 8 of the 13 members of the top 10% of the class came in through the consolidation, 2/3 of the first chair people in the band were only there the one year, and the all-state basketball player who was honored that year was a senior the year he began going to that school.
Bonus Question:
Were there any special things your Senior class did ?
(class trip , senior day, senior prank, etc) They took a trip to Washington DC. I didn't go because our class at the small school had worked and earned enough money to pay for our expenses, but when they took that money and put it with what the class at the larger school had earned, there wasn't enough to cover our costs and I would have had to come up with another $100. Quite a bit back then. One day we did take the boys restroom and cover the floor with mattresses, pulled in a couple of couches and chairs, added lamps and pictures, and made our own little lounge. They made us take it all out by noon. I think it had to do with us not letting any underclassmen in to use the "facilities".
Extra Credit Question:
How many dictionaries do you have in your home ? I think 3, but I usually use the one on my Mac, so I'm not sure anymore.
Have a great day, everyone.

Today's Question(s):
How many kids were in your High School graduation class ?
I have no idea... I know it was over 10 people, give or take 200.. I'll have to take my senior yearbook and count all the pictures, so I'll hold off on answering this question until the weekend..
Bonus Question:
Were there any special things your Senior class did ?
(class trip , senior day, senior prank, etc)
A Class Trip - Is that when the entire class gets together and everybody gets stoned.. or as they referred to it back in the mid 1970's "Hey man, let's take a groovy trip!". - I'm only kidding, I never got stoned. I remember Washington High's Class of 1975 class trip, but I didn't go. I think they went to Rocky Point, Mexico.
Extra Credit Question:
How many dictionaries do you have in your home ?
Just one that I haven't used since the 1970's!
