Today's Question(s):

When was the last time you had a Flat Tire ?
Don't remember the last time I changed mine. I've stopped and changed tires for others frequently. I can fix anything but a broken heart. Tires are "See spot run" stuff.

Did you:

Change it yourself
or
Called someone

Bonus Question:

When will you start putting away your "winter clothes" and break out your "summer clothes" ?
There's a difference? Oh, I need to change my snowmobile T shirts for race car T shirts. I normally don't bother, but if you

Extra Credit Question:

Does your local TV news station have a "slogan" or "catch phrase" ?
Chicago "Can I get a witness news"

and it would be ?

Today's Yay,Yuck or Eh :

Brussel sprouts
Okra
Sauerkraut

Today in History:
1895 - Woodville Latham demonstrated the first use of a moving picture projected on a screen in New York City.
1956 - Leonard Ross, age 10, became the youngest prizewinner on a big-time quiz program. The youngster won $100,000 on "The Big Surprise" for knowing about his specialty: stocks!
1878 - New York installs 1st firehouse pole
1913 - Gideon Sundback of Sweden patents the zipper
1948 - 1st Polaroid camera was sold in US

Word of the Day:

peccadillo \peck-uh-DIL-oh\, noun:
A slight offense; a petty fault.

Today is:

Chocolate-Covered Cashew Truffle Day
Tuna Day
Kindergarten Day
Big Word Day- A day to use huge words on purpose just to impress. !!!![/quote]

Yum!! Love 'em steamed into tenderness, then tossed around with some olive oil, garlic, shallots and balsamic vinegar.

I'm going to try that - it sounds delicious! Thanks for the tip!

I have never had a flat tire (been driving for 36 yrs)
I think I could do it myself
but I do have AAA if I ever need it

Good grief, that's AMAZING! I've been racking them up since high school (4" nail caused my first) and I've been driving about the same length of time!

Hello everyone! Another warm day here today (91)! I am going to enjoy it while I can - - - by Thursday it is supposed to get back down to the upper 50's or low 60's.

When was the last time you had a flat tire?

About 8 months ago. I came out to go to work and my tire was flat. I took my MIL's car to work that day, and my dh fixed it when he got home! I seem to have a knack for picking up nails, so I never go too long without a flat!

When will you start putting away your winter clothes and break out your summer clothes?

I guess I don't have that extensive of a wardrobe, both seasons clothes are always "out"!!

Does your local TV station have a slogan or catch phrase?

I only get one channel, and don't watch much TV at that, but I think it is something like "Where local news comes first".

Brussel sprouts, Okra, and Sauerkraut - All Yuck, yuck, yuck!!

Tuna day - - - I knew there was a reason that I made tuna salad sandwiches for luch today!

About the zipper being patented in 1913 - - Reminds me of a picture my ds drew in third grade. He brought it home and myself, dh and some friends were looking at it and were quite surprised, because it looked like he drew "male parts" on everyone - - - Well, our curiousity got the best of us and we had to ask him what that was!!! He gives us the "duh" look, and tells us "They are the zippers on the pants"!! Didn't look like any zipper I had seen before, but he WAS only in third grade!!

Have a great day!!

This is a fun forum, thanks Karla with a K! (Our weather is great today as well!)

Today's Question(s):
When was the last time you had a Flat Tire? It's been a year or two but I did have a tire-related incident when I thought my Miata was in reverse but was in 1st gear instead. I proceeded to drive it into a ditch! I couldn't back up, though, because the front two tires were hanging off the edge of the ditch.

Did you change it yourself or called someone: I don't do tires!

Bonus Question:
When will you start putting away your "winter clothes" and break out your "summer clothes" ?
I don't have to do that any more; I live in the south now and they all fit together in my closet!

Extra Credit Question:
Does your local TV news station have a "slogan" or "catch phrase" and it would be? I thinks it's Count on 2.

Today's Yay,Yuck or Eh :
Brussel sprouts Yay
Okra Yay
Sauerkraut as a kid, Yay - as an adult, Yuck (usually works the other way around!)

Today in History:
1895 - Woodville Latham demonstrated the first use of a moving picture projected on a screen in New York City. HOORAY for movies!
1956 - Leonard Ross, age 10, became the youngest prizewinner on a big-time quiz program. The youngster won $100,000 on "The Big Surprise" for knowing about his specialty: stocks! I'm an adult and can't handle my own!
1878 - New York installs 1st firehouse pole Those look like so much fun!
1913 - Gideon Sundback of Sweden patents the zipper Thank goodness - XYZ!
1948 - 1st Polaroid camera was sold in US And now they're discontinuing them - sad!

Word of the Day:
peccadillo \peck-uh-DIL-oh\, noun: A slight offense; a petty fault. I had/have a few of those!

Today is:
Chocolate-Covered Cashew Truffle Day YUM
Tuna Day YUM
Kindergarten Day Sweet?
Big Word Day- A day to use huge words on purpose just to impress. !!!! "jactitation": an uncontrollable tossing of the body. Did that impress anyone? LOL! I prefer supercalifragilisticexpealidocious!

Have a great one everybody!
