Do you Mow your lawn(yardwork) or do you have "people" ?
I enjoy doing it myself, which is good since I cannot afford "people"!

Have you ever had the battery on either your cordless home phone or Cell phone run out while you were using it ?
Uhh, yeah...yeah- that's what happened, honest!!!

Which would describe you ? Straight to the point or Beat around the bush
a mix of both - depending on what the situation calls for. sometimes a little tact & "diplomacy" goes a long way!

When was the last time you

Ate jelly beans ? can't remember - thankfully that's one junk food that doesn't tempt me!
Washed your car ? Yesterday!
Tried a new food ? On average, once a month. A small group of us get together for dinner monthly with the goal of trying a new restaurant,
preferably with "different" food. Lots of fun, & I've discovered I love Lebanese & Thai food!

We are supposed to have great weather today (and 80 degrees by this weekend!) - so I will make the most of Earth Day - woohoo!

Today's Question

Mow your lawn?
My husband does it mostly with help from our son. But, I've done it many times in the past.

Cordless home phone/cell phone battery run out while you were using it?
Home phone and even with a warning beep I still don't realize it's going to happen!

Describe you? It depends on the situation but mostly I get right to the point.

Ate jelly beans?
As a kid - don't care for them much now - I want chocolate!

Washed your car?
Myself? Years ago - hubby handles it now!

Tried a new food?
I try new dishes all the time but one new food? Probably alligator years ago. Oh, wait - I tried capers not too long ago; can't believe I'd never had them - they're wonderful! Oh, and papaya last year (had never tried it). I better quit thinking, I keep remembering!

1793 - 1st circus in U.S.
Yay for circuses, boo for the way they treat elephants!

1970 - 1st Earth Day held internationally to conserve natural resources
Yay for Earth Day!

pompous (pomp⋅ous) adj
I know sooooo many people who are - it's a ridiculous way to behave!

April Showers Day We aren't getting any today!

Celebrate The Earth Day!!! GO EARTH!!!

Today's Question(s):

Do you Mow your lawn(yardwork) or do you have "people" ?
I have people. The "Lousy Little One" and his older brother. They think their dad is an invalid since my bypass surgery.

Bonus Question:

Have you ever had the battery on either your cordless home phone or Cell phone run out while you were using it ?
I don't like to talk on the phone. People tend to misunderstand me if they don't see facial expressions when I'm talking.

Extra Credit Question:

Which would describe you ?

Straight to the point
or
Beat around the bush
Mrs D use to say "If you don't want to know don't ask him". Now she says "If you don't want to know don't be in the same room". Tap dancing around sensitive people is not my strong point.

Just for Fun:

When was the last time you

Ate jelly beans ?
Last week when we were taking

Washed your car ?
My oldest is the manager of a Car wash/Lube center. He took my old car and washed it, for the first time since I owned it, 2 weeks ago, than he buffed and waxed it. It looked so good I felt obligated to get a piece of sheet metal and patch the hole that had rusted thru the floor.

Tried a new food ?
Last Friday. We went to a friends house for dinner. We had "Poor Man's Lasagna". Made with toast, ground beef, cheese and a variety of spices. It was very good.

1876 - Philadelphia Nationals Wes Fisler scores baseball's 1st run
1906 - New rule puts umpire in sole charge of all game balls
Who shared the job with them prior to this?
1947 - 1st NBA Championship: Philadelphia Warriors beat Chicago Stags, 4 games to 2
1970 - 1st Earth Day held internationally to conserve natural resources

Word of the Day:

pompous (pomp⋅ous) adj
1. characterized by an ostentatious display of dignity or importance: a pompous minor official.
2. ostentatiously lofty or high-flown: a pompous speech.
3. characterized by pomp, stately splendor, or magnificence.
It's not pompous when you are as important as I am.

Today's Question(s):
Do you Mow your lawn(yardwork) or do you have "people" ?
Used to mow, now a lawn service twice a month in the summer.

Bonus Question:
Have you ever had the battery on either your cordless home phone or cell phone run out while you were using it ?
Sure. The phone does beep at you when the battery is really low so you can plug it in. But if you're in the car and left the cord at home....

Extra Credit Question:
Which would describe you ? Straight to the point -or - Beat around the bush

I'd rather get straight to the point, though I definitely consider other people's feelings.

Just for Fun:
When was the last time you
Ate jelly beans ?
A couple of years ago, not my favorite.
Washed your car ? A couple of weeks ago. It wasn't raining enough. NOt!

Once again, my husband does the mowing and all the yard work. My mothers phone went dead one time when I was talking on it. I am always straight to the point.
I ate jelly beans on Sunday, washed my car many many years ago, I tried a new recipe last night. Anyone who wants to try new food, I recommend barbecued coon!

Good Morning!!

Do you mow your lawn (yardwork) or do you have "people"?

We do it ourselves, usually my son or husband, but I've been known to do it on occasion!

Have you ever had the battery on either your cordless home phone or cell phone run out while you were using it?

I have came pretty close on the home phone, but never on the cell phone! I am one of those that once I have two bars left I am looking for the charger! I am the same way with gas in the car - 1/4 tank, and I am heading for the station!

Which would describe you - Straight to the point or Beat around the bush?

Without a doubt, beat around the bush! I have been known to be so "nice" about something that I don't even make my point!

When was the last time you- - - -

Ate Jelly Beans - Maybe about six months ago?!
Washed your car - Around two months ago - I live up a dirt road, so it is hard to get too excited about washing the car when you know it will look like crap by the time you get to the end of your driveway! It is due for a washing, though!
Tried a new food? - Three weeks ago - We went for Mexican food, and I ALWAYS get the same thing, so I tried something new. It was a Chicken Tortilla Soup, and it was awesome, but very rich and filling!

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
