What was the reason you would of been heard to say, "Wow, I did not know that!!!!"?
Well, I guess it's today because I always thought that Arbor Day was in September. Don't ask me why. It's one of those holidays that I lost sight of over the years.
Would you say you have a pretty good "poker face" ?
I'd say it's better than this guy's!

Good morning Karla and everyone else. Beautiful day shaping up here.
Today's Question(s):
In honor of National Arbor Day
What was the last thing you "planted" ? Other than my rear end in the chair at the repair shop last Monday, I guess it would be the landscaping last summer. Hostas, Mums, Black-Eyed Susans, a couple of Lilacs, etc.
Bonus Question:
What was the reason you would of been heard to say
Wow, I did not know that !!!! It happens so much I can't think of a specific time. Seems I am learning new things all the time.
Extra Credit Question:
Would you say you have a pretty good "poker face" ? It depends on who I am with. Strangers - pretty good. Friends - Can I claim I was thinking of the great times we have had???
Pigs-in-a-Blanket: Yay,Eh or Yuck ? It's one of those - "I have to be in the mood" things.
Well, it's off to doing some painting. Plans are to put in the new cabinets in the basement this weekend. Got to get ready.
Have a great day (and weekend) everyone.

What was the last thing you "planted" ?
My rear - in this here chair!
What was the reason you would of been heard to say, "Wow, I did not know that !!!!"
Almost every time I read something on CD! Especially on younglisa7's thread - so much great advice & tips come pouring into that thread.
Even if I don't live off grid - there's a lot of info there that I can apply to my own world!
Would you say you have a pretty good "poker face" ?
Nope - I break a smile every time & give myself away.
Pigs-in-a-Blanket: Yay,Eh or Yuck ?
NYET! No pigs - they gotta be dogs! And no blankets - gimme a nice old fashioned bun & while you're at it, slather on some mustard,
cheese, and chili. If I'm going to eat a food as "forbidden" as a hot dog, then I want all the bells & whistles!

Actually pretty appropiate. We visited the Arbor Lodge and Farm in Nebraska City (for those who don't know Arbor Day came from Nebraska) and they give you free small trees and planted those at my parents to add to thier windbreak eventually.

Wow, I did not know that !!!!
lol, there was a thread posted yesterday with all sorts of interesting facts.
Extra Credit Question:
Would you say you have a pretty good "poker face" ?
no, not at all.

Pigs-in-a-Blanket: Yay,Eh or Yuck ?
Wouldn't make them but wouldn't turn them down if they were in front of me. So is that eh?

What was the last thing you "planted" ? My foot. Oh, you mean vegetation-wise????? Last fall, some bulbs that I'm surprised that this pup hasn't dug up as of yet...
Bonus Question: .What was the reason you would of been heard to say
Wow, I did not know that !!!! When a son emailed some hockey information to me
Extra Credit Question: ..Would you say you have a pretty good "poker face" ? Nah, it's not pretty and I give myself away at times with a goofy smile.
Pigs-in-a-Blanket: Yay,Eh or Yuck ? Nope.

1956 - AL umpire Frank Umont is 1st to wear glasses in a regular season game Sometimes me thinks that they all need glasses. Esp. the refs in hockey.
Word of the Day: [/u]
gainsay \gayn-SAY; GAYN-say\, transitive verb:
1. To deny or dispute; to declare false or invalid.
2. To oppose; to contradict. .. .Good word, Karla. Must use it today in a sentence.

Yes I got some great ideas I have added them to my "places to call for stuff" on Monday list
lol I am taking today off from those calls goign togive the phones a chance to compeltely charge !!
Last year the pretty popular items were the golf & restaurant certificates
I was surprised that a really and I mean really ugly pair of candle holders had lots of bidding activity
We have a couple of unique items so far this year
A skeet shooting certificate
and the appliance repair guy that came by yesterday to fix the "fried microwave" donated 2 dryer vent cleaning certificates !!!
Someone also donated a antique sewing machine that I have heard quilter love using
