So, so sorry to hear. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your mom and family.
There is little that can be said to ease your pain, but at least your dad is at peace and free from suffering now.
Take care!

roaddog- another life has completed it's cycle. Your dad is no longer in pain, but he see's you, I promise. Hold your mom and your family close to you and thank God he was part of your life and created you. Now is the time that you have to heal. You will. That is also built into the human spirit.
There is a psalm in the bible that paraphrased says " Blessed men pass through the valley of Baca and having dug a well the rain came."
The translation of valley of Baca is valley of Tears.
Everyone has to walk through that valley alone.
No one knows how long the journey will take.
But, if every day you do something positive (dig a well) your healing will happen (the rain will come).

Repeat this to your Mom and look around the house for a small container or box. Tell her that as she walkes through the valley and her burden becomes too hard to bear, place it in the box and rest for awhile until she is ready to take it up again. After her journey is through, tell her to put her most precious memories into the box where they will always be when she needs them.

Thank you for the priviledge of being able to shed tears for you.
