I think age is just a number ! I dont see why our society is so hung up on how old or young people are.

I mean , surely you wouldnt want a 19 year old as President. But other than that certain cases, people can be as youthful as they want at any age.

Also some people are old when they hit 50, while others are youthful til the end ! Numerical age and true age do not go hand in hand !

Yeah, well ... you try being married to someone 17 years older than you and tell me they don't treat you like a child. Age matters.

Some people are not necessarily their chronological age. I know kids that act like they're middle aged adults. They even think they KNOW everything.
Then I know people who are all grown up but act like children.

The age is just a number to me.

If age is just a number, why are you feeling out of place, awkwardness in regards to being called "Sir?"

Not always true. My girlfriend is 20 years younger than me. Yet I believe she is the more mature acting one of us. We have been together over ten years and there has never been any talking down to the other.

Because I want to seem young and innocent.

Sorry... my husband's 14 years older and he treats me like a goddess and an exact equal. There has NEVER been a time when he's spoken to me like a child or treated me like one. Sounds like a issue your S/O should work on. It's HIS problem... not a numbers/ age problem.

Thats what I think too ! Sounds like she may be in an abusive situation. No man should treat his wife like a child.
