I saw on the Internet that Britney Spears shaving her head bald has created alot of buzz and copycats. There are tons of websites that will pay women to shave their heads for money. Head shaving is cool now that Britney has done it. I understand that Halley Berry is next and will shave her head this summer.

Women how much would someone have to pay you to shave your head bald, with a rule that you could not wear a wig while it is growing out?

I did it for free in my 80's punk rock heyday (well, most of it, I had a friend who did the whole thing), I don't see what the big deal is

Now it would be sort of awkward with work as my work environment is a bit more conservative than the place I worked in high school who didn't mind my freaky partially shaved purple-haired black wearing self as long as I showed up on time, did my job, and was nice to the customers (all of which I did), but I've never really had the hair hangup that a lot of woman have (now my hair is long, about to the middle of my back, but that could change on a whim).

If my sister or someone close to me went through chemo, I would have no problem shaving my head with them in solidarity (and of course donating my hair to locks of love). In fact one of the reasons I've not recently cut my hair is that I'm sort of waiting for it to get long enough to donate (10 inches is what they need) and then I'm going to chop it off and get a short haircut. I'm actually pretty close to being able to donate.

I'd do it in a heartbeat, hair will grow back. But I'd probably get fired as my boss is ohhhhh soooooo conservative.

I was threatened with suspension for a job i worked at for shaving my head! It was a call center, how dumb.

I did security at clubs and stadiums and worked with a girl with a shaved head. It really suited her. For women, itll either look good or bad, not everyone can pull it off. Some really can. IMO Britney looks like a fool with a shaved head, but shes got mental issues so im not gonna dole out the abuse. On the other hand, GI Jane could pull it off

No, I wouldn't do it because I'm not that desperate for $1,000! Plus, I have really long hair that took me a LOOOOONG time to grow and I love my hair!!! There is an exception though, and it doesn't involve money - I would consider donating my hair for cancer patients or people with an illness who have lost their hair. This I would do for free.

I was wondering the other day if she donated her hair to any charity that could use it to make a wig/wigs for cancer patients. My sister got one made of human hair (as a gift), and I understand they are quite expensive. Although, since the hair belonged to Britney Spears, it probably got auctioned off on ebay or something.

Ok guys here it goes: my hair is supper long and I really take care of it. Its my pride and joy. When I was going through all the cancer stuff I thought if I have to get chemo Im going to die when my hair starts to fall out. Luckily chemo has not been necesary
However, as tight as money is right now for 1k I'd shave it bald. I has to grow agian. My hair tends to grow fast.
