Ok, so you've never had an experience. I know the perfect house for you to get your feet wet. And the best part--day or night--makes no difference! It'll be fun!
I've lived with the paranormal my whole life. It's very real.
You'll see!

what was the hoax----was it what the actual killer said to the police(i lived in nyc metro area at the time) or was the hoax what the family that bought the house later and claimed it was haunted?

Yeah, I don't agree with what I just said, either.

This didn’t happen to me and I wasn’t there. But my cousin had this experience and it’s very hard to get him to talk about it even today. He’s not the type of person to make things up and he’s never been a hoaxer or liar:
It took place about 25 years ago in Argentina. My cousin married an Argentine woman who had a couple of kids by a previous marriage. They lived in an apartment and had a friend who lived nearby in an old house. Every time they went there, the children would begin to act very atypical--very aggressive compared to normal. One evening they were all sitting in the living room, which had a piano. As the story goes, the piano suddenly began playing the strangest sort of dissonant music that he had ever heard (and of course, nobody was near the piano). As if that wasn't enough, suddenly in the middle of the room, away from all the walls and about half way between the floor to the ceiling, a screwdriver just ‘appeared,’ stayed motionless for a split second in mid-air, and then fell to the floor.
From what I understand, he hastily exited the house (with wife and kids) and never set foot near it again. He’s never had another incident like this. He now lives back in the states and he has always sworn by the story (the few times anyone has convinced him to talk about it).

Out of sheer curiousity, why did you call it a hoax?

The family had finally come clean and admitted they lied for the money, I believe. It was all over the evening news at the time. This statement is only valid if memory serves!

Wow, all these yrs, I never knew it. I'm a sucker, should have known.
Cripes, ppl will say anything when it comes to money. This is getting off topic, but I saw an older man and wife who lied about their personal story about the holicost and how she threw him apples every day and by pure coincidence met again here in the US and married, got a movie deal, book deal, made appearences on Oprah and other shows. Then came clean.
They need a show called "HOW BIG FAT LIERS MADE MILLIONS".
