Default Today's Happy: 5th food group - 06/06/09

Yep, I know the four food groups is a thing of the past, but don't talk to me about food pyramids.

As a square I expect a square meal. One food group for each corner of the square: 1. Dairy 2. Meat and Proteins 3. Bread and Carbs 4. Fruit and Veg.

But I do make an exception for 5. Steak!

Had a delicious juicy sirloin with a salad and fries tonight for dinner. That's happy!

Are you grilling, stewing, or ordering something from the menu to make you and yours happy?

On Monday we're visiting my mom and she'll cook either flank steak or lamb chops. Happy!

We have a propane Weber 2 burner grill. We use a #20 lb tank of propane every month, winter or summer. In the summer, I often use it as an oven, also.

Home-made bread! It's a chilly, drizzly day in south-central Wisconsin, and the spouse has the Kitchen-Aid mixer out to make up a couple of loaves of nice crusty home-made bread for supper tonight.

I don't even care what else is on the menu - I could be completely content with fresh, warm home-made bread slathered with butter!
