I craved coffee, but didn't get any breakfast was good The kid cooked and I coached: sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, homemade biscuits and sweet rice.

There's something about looking outside and seeing the SNOW this morning that changed my mind from my usual. Cottage cheese and toast wasn't going to cut it today. Hubby and I fired up the skillet, made some sausage patties, threw in a couple of slices of bacon, and some potato-stuffed pierogies and some steamin' hot coffee. That went down just fine.

What is "sweet rice" ... I've always been curious. ^^^ Italian tacos? That's a new one!

I only had a cup o noodle - Cajun Shrimp flavored with a Mountain Dew. Haha! Healthy I know.

My dearest Chatteress,

Sweet rice is a rounder, shorter, soft rice grain. I buy it at an a local international market. I cook it with butter and sugar (not much) while it is boiling. The butter gives i a yellow hue and the kid thinks it is wonderful.

Italian taco is sorta my invention living in the southwest- it is like traditional tacos but for the seasoning. I like Italian sausage, but u can use ground beef or a combination there of. I season the meat with Italian seasoning, but because of my southwest roots I throw some chili powder in too. Then I chop up Romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, minced garlic, pepperchinies, a little purple onion, u can also add sliced black olives (I don't for mine, but the kids loves it). I toss all of this in Italian dressing sprinkle cracked red and black pepper top with parmesan cheese. Stuff the taco shell w/ meat and the garnish and u got urself an italian taco or italian taco salad. And it is good too.
