Default Are you "in awe" of anyone? If so, tell us about him/her?

Do you ever meet anyone that just seems incredibly impressive. Attractive, charismatic, intelligent, kind, accomplished. The whole package. Almost like someone on television or the movies. You are in awe of them because they seem so impressive.

Or are you not impressed by people that way?

I'm in awe of Vic Wooten.

I don't know about attractive, and kind, and all that, though.

I might admire someone but I'm never in "awe" of them.

I am in awe of Steve Howe. He owns 125 guitars. He plays guitar, mandolin, electric mandolin, dobro, resonator, bass and fretless bass, mandocello, banjo, alto guitar, electric, six string, twelve string, and steel and pedal steel guitar, sitar.
To me, he is a god of his craft, both technically and creatively.

While I wouldn't say I'm in "awe" of this person, I think about him, occasionally. He is a Doc of mine in the past. He is really smart, attractive, seems to have "it", confidence, knowledge, all at the same time being humble and totally "acknowledging" others around him.

I don't know how else to explain it.

I am generally impressed with people that work their butts off for their families. This one particular women I worked with was my "Smoking Buddy" and I introduced her to my wife as my girlfriend "A Joke" because if I couldn't be found I was always in the back room smoking and talking with her.
Her name was Jamaica, maybe her Mom dreamed of far away places but she never left the hills before she drank herself to death. Jamaica worked two jobs and went to school so she could be taken advantage of by her Dad that she deliverd food to almost every night, watched her drugged out sisters kids and loaned her brother money so he could buy pot. She eventually adopted her sisters kids and met a nice guy and married but before she did she kept up the daily routine for about 5 years. In the five years I got to be around her I saw her cry but I never heard her complain and I never heard her bad mouth one of her family members, I was there to listen "Not Judge".
Yeah I guess you could say I was in Awe of her. Not many people would go through what she did to make things work for so long. My wife brought her name up the other day and said she thought the same.
