Not bad. Highs in the 80s. We've only had light rains here.

We're in the midst of a heat wave. Today's high was 100F with sunny skies. No cooling down until Labor Day, according to the long-range forecast. Time to stock up on ice cream!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers Alm. We're far away from the effects of Harvey here on the South Plains but I do have a cousin in Houston who I have not heard from.

We probably have more boats per capita out here in the Lubbock area than on the Gulf Coast. This is true although we have very few reservoirs (Texas has no real lakes) and no running rivers. Although I have no way of knowing, I'm sure that some of our Lubbock folks are down there helping out. I took a tractor down during the cleanup after Hurricane Rita.

Today here on the Texas South Plains we have lots of sunny skies and the temperature is cool at 76°. The expected high today is 84° and a low tonight of 55°. We have our typical fall breezes at about 11 mph from the NNE. Our humidity is at 39%.
