Default Have you done something lately you are most proud of?

I'm very proud of the fact that I just hung my very first curtain rod. Yes.....this is true. Never done this before. DH always did. With his parkinsons, I know someday I may need to do some of these simple tasks.
He went fishing with the guys today so rather than wait for him to come home.........I took the bull by the horns.
Got my own tool chest.......a pink one. Never used it before until now.
rod is hung, curtains hung so now to see how long they stay there. LOL

I'm just so proud of my accomplishment and I know my dad is smiling down on me now.

Not sure about anyone else but most people tend to put themselves down.
Oh I can't do anything right, oh I"ll never be able to figure this out, Oh I'll just screw it up.
In reality.........there is always the postive and we should look at what we did do with a pat on our backs

This is lately or recently, right?

let me give this a shot: I am proud of the fact that I finally said "screw it", strap on the bikini so i can take the little kiddo to our first waterpark together. It's one of my "wouldn't be caught dead wearing it mantra" coz of self-consciousness, but hey i'm not the only one with imperfections walking around out there so screw it. And we had a blast! Will go there again, soon.

Way to go, EM. I'd ask if it's level, but naahhhhh, just hanging it is a nice accomplishment.

Now you're own tool chest? That's another accomplishment.

Charley...........Level??? Oh

No seriously....I measured with my little ruler. 3/4 inch from the wood trim on the window. Looks level to me. wonder what Bill will think when he comes home?
Of course it was just a little rod for sheers but I will work my way up.

Yes, I do have my own tool chest. Bought it at family dollar a year and a half ago. Never used it till now.
I just thought it was so cute with he pink handles. Cost me $9.99.

Today I ran 20 minutes on the Wii Fit. I'm not stranger to exercise, but running has never been my thang. This was a first for me. Next time I'm shooting for 30 minutes!

Is your first name Jesus'?

I'm proud that I washed and waxed my car all by myself a few weeks ago. That's the first wax job my car's had in about two years.
