Angry No Fair!!

I feel bad... and selfish. My best friend called me last week and told me she is pegnant. I am happy for her and her husband.. they are really blessed! At the same time I am thinking in my head that it's not fair since my husband and I have been trying for almost 8 months now with no luck. One of my other friends found out in Decemeber that she was pregnant, and my other best friend had a baby last August.
It's selfish I know.. but I just keep thinking NO FAIR!
How do you respond in a situation where you are jealous/upset for yourself, but happy for the other person at the same time?

Best think you can do is try and relax. Ive had friends try for babies and it got so stressfull. Youre supposed to have fun trying for babies, the stress will come later, trust me! Just take it easy, try not to pressure yourself too much.

Been trying for eight months, and you're depressed about not being successful. Relax, honey !! It will happen . Doctors told me that I would never conceive, but wound up with four babies in 4 years!!!

That's a little much!
I am not really "depressed" but more, bitter?
I threw a little fit going something like this: *ahem*
"I was engaged before all of them,
Married first, and I was actually TRYING to get pregnant.
They just sneezed and WHOOPS they were pregnant! "

And all the time poor husband is looking at me like haha

It's strange how people who aren't trying to have children just have them with no problem, while people who are trying very hard can't. Perhaps BrianH is right, maybe relaxing and having fun with it has a lot to do with that. By the way, I don't want to intrude but, have you been using birth control a long time? I have heard that women who had used birth control for several years have a harder time getting pregnant, since birth control keeps your body from becoming pregnant. I only ask because that was one of the reasons I chose not to take birth control before the birth of my first (and only for now) child. Anyway, keep trying and many blessings to you.

Thank you
And to answer your question, No I have not been taking birth control. I didn't react well to it YEARS ago when I tried taking it.. last time I took one was over 5 years ago.
Speaking of that, my friend that found out she was pregnant in December was on the pill FIGURES.

It doesn't seem fair, drug addicts and 13 yr old girls can get pregnant, and here is someone who will be a wonderful mother, married to the wonderful father and they are patiently waiting.
It is normal to feel the way you do, just be patient, it will happen!

Well that blows my theory out of the water. Thank you for answering my question, that helps a lot. And it took me 5 months to get pregnant, and that was with my son's father who was in his 30's and thought he couldn't have children. Many blessings.

I have been there.. he said that everything should go accordingly. Said that if I am really worried about it.. I can get on Clomid and try that out.
Now, I am afraid to go on any of that stuff.. I will end up having a litter of children at once and be on the street!!
