1843 - An alligator fell from the sky during a thunder storm in Charleston, SC. My hometown! I would've loved to have seen that!

1916 - Ken Curtis (Festus in Gun Smoke) was born. Awww...I liked him!

1937 - Polly Holiday ("Flo" from Alice) was born. Mel, kiss my grits!

1937 - Amelia Earhart and navigator Fred Noonan disappeared over Pacific Ocean attempting to make the first round the world flight at the equator. How sad that they never found them.

Thank you for being an enabler.

THE QUESTION OF THE DAY:

Do you have a green thumb?
No but the white tennis shoes I wear when I cut the grass have turned a lovely shade of green.

Do you have any of the following, growing in your house or yard?

African VioletYes
Petunia
Geranium
Sun Flower
Tomato Plant
I know we have African Violets because Mrs D talks about them. We also have flour in the pantry. It's white but I don't know what plant it's from. I have no idea what anything else is

BONUS QUESTIONS:

Do you have sentimental attachment or association to a particular flower?
Not until you add sugar, butter baking soda and eggs.

Silk or Artificial Flowers....Yea or Nay?

WORD OF THE DAY:

Almost anything is friable. Afore mentioned flour after a milk or egg bath helps. Do not coat twinkies. They should always be fried just as they come out of the package.

Green thumb?
I have plants but I don't really have a green thumb.
don't have any of the flowers you mentioned. Have different houseplants and outside on the patio, I have a pink begonia and an asparagus fern.

Silk or artificial flowers?
Yes, if they are nice ones.

Sentimental attachment to a certain flower?
Yes, red roses remind me of my son who died at age 16. Kind of a long story there about the roses.
