If the subject matter interests me I'll comment but sometimes there are just too many questions all at once.
We also already have the question of the day so, I tend to pick and choose.

The topic is one about which I am not knowledgeable.
The topic is inane.
The topic is one that belongs in a different forum (e.g. Food & Drink, Entertainment, etc.)
The conversation has already degenerated into sniping or outright flames.

I am also very put off by certain abbreviations in thread titles, to the extent that I won't even look at the thread if the originator uses the abbreviation "u" for the word you. That, however, is because I am a word nerd and a rabid grammarian, and I intensely dislike what feels like the dumbing-down of our language. I fully recognize that I am a vanishing-small minority in that feeling, and I have absolutely no expectation that everyone in the world will change the way they write to suit me - but I choose not to encourage it by participating in threads with that kind of egregious shortcut in the title. An honest spelling or grammatical error is understandable, but intentional shortcuts just irritate the heck out of me.
i agree with u on some of the things u mentioned like put the thread in the right forum>>> and some topics have been covered so many times.. but as for using the letter u for the word you is to trivial not everybody has the time to craft the right way to say somthing in a perfect way.. when u realy think about it how many people actually read the post that u post on a paticular thread not that many... so in my book it's just not worth the time to craft the perfect way to say something on a forum for only a few peple that will acually read the post.

it's time for a global language!!!! did a thread on that topic in politics and other controverses furum

I do many comments on the different topics on the forum, even thought I am foreigner, I love to share the people their life( opinions, thoughts, problems, celebrations...........etc). Sometimes I feel we have good things in common .. sometimes I don't. But most of all I learn how to make nice conversation to find out what you are looking for.

I admit that I am so arrogant of american culture, and have troubles because of my comments...but still love to post and disscuss interesting issues.

I would like to add that I don't feel foreigner anymore......What does it call when a person has real family on one place......He becomes the place itself........Do you understand what I mean???

Okay....
having good friends who love, support, care about you.
Having real family( people older and younger than you.
Sharing everything with them....like you live their lives daily.
The conclusion is you own this place or to be part of it..........and sometims to feel you are the place itself............inside you. It is the meaning of love.

I can't tell you how many times I respond to posts and then just hit delete before sending. I call them my "non-posts". And sometimes, I spend a lot of time embellishing and engineering these responses too. Then once I hit preview, I see if it's really the way I think, or just shows my ignorance. I just don't like controversy I guess. It must be cathartic for me or something.

...........I almost didn't send this.

Yep! I comment when I have some thing to say, otherwise I would just rather read what others are saying!
