Ever noticed how traits such as a tendency for someone to prevaricate when caught in a contradiction seem to run in families? I was just thinking about that the other day when the exact same peeve came to mind. Hmmm.

That's when I say "you're welcome" really loud, lol.

BTW, my cashier yesterday offered me a job bagging groceries which brings me to another peeve. I hate when capable people stand on line and wait for the cashier to ring up the groceries and then bag the groceries. Really how hard is to start bagging...do you think the people behind you want to be in the grocery store all day?

Kids who don't think it's ever going to happen to them!

We have a reservoir here, it's pretty popular. Parts of it are posted as a 'no swimming' area.

Yesterday a few kids from the local high school decided that they were exempt from the rules and went swimming there anyway.

It took the life of a great kid, a friend of my youngest two, recent graduate, athlete, son, brother.....

My kids are still processing his death, it hasn't quite hit them yet. Other friends who were there blame themselves. His family is beyond grief. Me, i'm just so damn mad that someone so special died for such a silly reason.

RIP Jake...

Hi sun queen! I got another peeve.

People who don't want to appear as racist or ignorant and call other people racist because they post their life experience.

So sad...kids tend to think they are exempt from rules because nothing will happen to them.

People that stare at you and don't stop staring. I went out to dinner tonight with a deaf friend and I know sign language is not something you see every day, but seriously, stare a bit and get over it, don't keep staring and staring and staring and staring.
