God that's sick. People like that are twisted plain and simple. Why don't these people pick on someone that can punch, kick and shoot back.

Just put some tape over that light on the dashboard as I would find that very annoying.

I have a 27YO vehicle, and when I go out of town, I always rent a car, always new, and then I discover all the annoyances they've built into these new cars with all this high-tech gadgetry, and I can never wait to get back to my low-tech gadgetry car.

Last time I rented one in October, a message came on telling me a tire was low in pressure. I kicked the tires, saw no problem at all, and continued driving with that annoying message staring at me for the rest of my 8 hour trip, and next time I'll take some black masking tape with me or a sledge hammer!

No thanks! And it's only going to get worse! My lovely older, well-mannered, Toyota only beeps once if I don't put my seat belt on, then leaves me alone after that!

The car my wife drives is a japanese car. If you don't fasten your seat belt it makes a
continuous peeping sound. Sometimes we move the car within a shopping complex, so
don't fasten the belts. I find myself saying "shuddup, we're not going out on the road."
Like it understands!

If I did break down and buy a new high-tech gadgetry car, I'd find someone to disengage many of those features. The seatbelt reminder is the worst feature of all!

When I do rent cars to get out of town, I always order the cheapest Economy or Compact car with the fewest new features available.

Stick me with a new Cadillac or BMW, and I'd likely abandon the car along the way somewhere!

Drivers that turn on the green light for pedestrians and insist on doing it even when pedestrians are clearly crossing.

That is one of my biggest peeves ... Especially dangerous for pedestrians that are visually challenged. Since at many lights, drivers can turn on red if safe, there is no reason for a driver to cut a pedestrian off during the limited window we have to cross. Unfortunately, we are invisible to the almighty driver!

It's the same here, the mighty driver has no time for pedestrians. I walk quite a lot, Judy
does'nt. If she could tarmac the stairs she'd drive to the toilet. When, on the rare times
she walks to town with me, when she is in training for having to walk while we are on
holiday, she finds driver behaviour quite shocking. They are so ignorant and thoughtless,
acting like we have no right even being there trying to cross the road.

Nope, its a throw away world. It won't last but it will have every high tech gadget on it they can think of. Our old family refrigerator I grew up with was almost as old as I was. It lasted over 30 years. Our washer and dryer were really old too. Their replacement were nothing in comparison. And today its much worse, all fluff and poor quality at a high price. My grandma was using the old style wringer washing machine at least into the middle 60's. My mom always said she thought it got clothes cleaner than the automatic machines. It was made really well, imagine something like that today, it would fall apart in your hand, like one of those cheap can openers.
