I like putting a name to it, our family is definately committed to PSP. My kids are always looking for ways to preserve the environment and our bodies, we see it as our job assigned to us by our creator, God. The best environmental PSP I can think of is reduction of consumption. It is crazy how much people consume and dispose of material items. Save the Adopting a Highway option we do all of what you listed. When the kids are older we plan to Adopt a Highway so that they can activily participate in cleaning it up, for now we just bring garbage bags along where ever go to clean up what we find a long the way.

How Much Electricity Usage Would We Save If Just One Light Bulb Were Replaced In Each Household With A Cfl "squiggly"lightbulb? Plus, They Last Up To 10 Years And Imagine The Money You Save Each Month On The Electric Bill. I Replaced 9 Bulbs About 4 Months Ago And Each Month I See A Reduced Difference In The Electric Bill. This Month Alone I Saved $29.00 On My Bill. I Will Be Replacing The Other 11 Next Week As Well. How Does Electricity Harm The Environment?

I have never heard of PSP, but I guess my aim to live this kind of lifestyle can certainly be my PSP. My current living condition is unique (I work and live in the same place) so I currently opt to walk more miles than I drive my car each week (I only violate it a couple times a year when I need to travel to see relatives on the holidays).

I never figured out how much I saved, but like you, I also went completely florescent about four years ago (local utility here purchased compact florescents and offered them at a huge discount through our Home Depot, so I picked up a mess of them for a couple bucks a piece. I have yet to need to replace a single light bulb since the switch. I love them.
