Question What Is A Psp??

psp Means Personal Sustainability Project. It Is A Change In Your Life Style That You Choose To Make That Would Have A Lasting Impact On You, Your Community, And Your Environment In Which You Live. A Psp Can Be Anything That Makes You Happy When Doing It. Some Examples Include: Losing Weight, Stop Smoking, Recycling, Beautifying Your Yard, Planting Trees, Adopting A Highway Clean Up, Etc........ Whatever Makes You Happy And Affects the Environment In A Positive Way. Everyone Needs To Take A Look At Themselves And At The World In Which They Live. Everyone Needs A Psp To Improve The Quality Of Life For Future Generations. If You Have Chosen A Psp Or Need More Information Let Me Know. If You Need Help And Moral Support, Then That Is What I Am Here For. What Is Your Psp For The Future??? I Want To Know And Here About It.

For those old enough to remember when aircraft had propellers powered by reciprocating engines, PSP stood for "preforated steel plating". It came in large sections that you could interlock and put on grass or mud to provide runways or parking ramps. Used in Viet Nam and before. Later, better runway construction methods made it obsolete...

Crew Chief... If I'm thinking of the same stuff...I saw it a Ft. Dix, Ft, Knox, Nato bases etc....dosen't that stuff go back to WWII ?? If I recall the story it was to be used to build temp air fields during the pacific campagin . The mill ran a mountain of the stuff but it proved to be so slipppery when wet that it was all but unusable for it's original purpose.
I even recall seeing outdoor table tops made out of the stuff !! (it beats having to hold your mess kit in mid air while trying to chow down at a test/firing range.

Yes, JBrown, that's the same stuff! I haven't seen any of it since I was stationed in Korea in the mid '70s, though. And, yes, it's definitely slippery when wet!
