While reading the answers that our "question family" posts have the answers ever:
Surprised you ? Yes
Made you like the poster even more ? Yes
Really got you thinking ? Yes
"Scared" you ?
Left you wanting more...... (info that is) ? Yes
Bonus Question:
If you could have a "sit down chat" with "Ma Nature" what would you talk about ?
Why won't lawn grass stop growing when it's 2" tall?
Why do other people's farts smell bad, but mine don't?
Did you start with fractals, or is that just a coincidence?
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood? No one seems to be able answer this.
Extra Credit Question:
Do you have a matched set of luggage ? More than one, actually.
Just for Fun:
What was the last thing you used scotch tape for ?
My credit cards. They kept breaking just below the magnetic strip. I finally figured out that it was the way I put them in the pockets in my wallet. I flipped them over so the strip is at the bottom of the pocket and they no longer break.

Hey! How about some babble?
I've been in a relapse the last few days so I'm not doing so much. I did have 5 good days in a row!! Stupid pain started up again around my eye and forehead. Went to the eye doc today and there is now irritation and scarring in my eye. It's far enough away from the center of the eye that vision will not be impaired. He put me back on the eye drops with the steroids in them. I still only need "readers" to read, albeit a little stronger.
An expansion on the fractals comment for Mother Nature above. If you don't know fractals, Google them. Fascinating!
The expansion is this: On a show we watched (again) recently a group of scientists went to a forest and cut down a good sized tree that was already dying (nice touch, that) and measured the size and location of all the branches on it. They created a chart from the data that showed a sloping pattern. They then went through a large section of the forest and measured the distance between, and the sizes of, all the trees in that area. They again created a chart of the data and when they overlayed it on the chart from the tree the patterns matched.
That is amazing.
And here is the page about it. NOVA | Hunting the Hidden Dimension | TV Program Description | PBS
At the bottom right in the blue box is a link to Watch This Program so if you are interested the program is available. Chapter 5 is the one about the forest.
Not much else going on. We spent a large portion of the weekend on the deck reading, etc. Rough life, huh?
Everyone have a great remainder of their Tuesday!

A little late on this so here goes!
If you could have a sit down chat with "Ma nature", what would you talk about? The dangerous pine beetle situation in Colorado's high country. Huge pockets of pine trees are dying, this area of the country has been in a 50 year drought cycle, and the thought of fires REALLY concerns me, especially from Vail to Georgetown. The trees are turning brown at an alarming rate.
Do you have a matched set of luggage? Yes.
What was the last thing you used scotch tape for? Paying bills with an envelope that had little gum on it, so I taped it!
Monster mash Day! GREAT oldie by Boris "Bobby" Picket!
national date nut bread-yummo!
Star Trek day! Love Star Trek-the movie was great, a little hard to get used to the new characters, though!
Hope everyone has a GREAT week!

National Pledge of Allegiance Day
In its original form it read: "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." In 1923, the words, "the Flag of the United States of America" were added. At this time it read: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Bellamy's daughter objected to this alteration. Today it reads: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." The Pledge of Allegiance
