I haven't had that problem, but the one that I can't stand is when you're in the dentist chair and even though you never have "excess saliva" problems at any other time, you find yourself drowning in your own saliva!! Then you have the hygenist that is cleaning your teeth that time gets away from - - - - you can't swallow and you feel like you are going to overflow if they don't get that suction tube in there!!

I had a root canal done once, and the dentist was putting this clamp on the tooth. He would get it set and get ready to start work, and it would pop off and hit him in the face! This happened 3 times - I tried not to laugh, but by that time I couldn't hold it anymore!! He finally gave up and did it without the clamp...

Talking .

Never had that urge problem while at the dentist however I hate it when I’m stuck in the chair and the dentist or hygienist start humming or whistling to the background music. I know that they are happy and enjoy their work, however my mouth is open and full of instruments that make it impossible to speak out about their actions. I’m here for professional dental work ~
not being entertained by amateurs in the music field.

When I'm in the dentist's chair, I'm usually so scared that number 1 is the least of my worries.

If you know what I mean...

I get the nose itch - every time. You try to get your finger in there to scatch it without getting in the way - but it never works. My dentist now says "OK - just tell me where to scratch..." -- A real funny guy...
