We all have seen the posts where someone wants to move and escape the negatives of whereever they are now.

Often they don't have a job lined up, much to the chagrin to seasoned movers.

Please post what you feel should be on a person's checklist when moving from one location to another.

Thanks, and your neighborhood may benefit!

I think a first on the checklist should be to visit the area(s) you are thinking about moving to. Check out the area thoroughly - the good and the bad. Rent a place if possible before you commit to anything - trust me on this!

Determine whether or not you will miss your family and/or friends.

If weather is a big deal to you, check out the weather in the places you are considering. You may just jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Are the problems you are trying to escape something that you can remedy without moving? Remember - you take yourself with you wherever you go.
