I hate it as well. Heck, dh and I work for public utilities and are on call 24/7 yet we turn our phones off in meetings, dr offices, and other places where it would be considered rude.

Last week, my son was an escort in the school beauty review. Would you believe there was a 6 minute speech before the event on how the audience should conduct themselves? Yes cell phones were to be turned off....and YES someone's cell phone rang in the middle of the beauty review!!!!

People, turn the danged thing to VIBRATE already!!!!

By the way, just where do you put the cell phone when you’re in the doctors office wearing those “open in the back, no pockets, no zippers, no buttons, gowns”?

Just thinking is all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lol

Much agreed Alice. Hate them in restaurants too with a loud mouth that can be heard all over the joint.

I hate them in grocery stores - anywhere where I have to listen to the conversation (or half of it).

I don't like Cell phones!! Especially seeing everyone with one stuck to their ear!! I think instead of a ringer or vibrator they should have a stun gun feature !! If you get a call in a Bldg or car it should "Zap" the crap out of the user!!!

I agree but hey check it out.......>>>>> which came first the chicken or the egg?

With the explosion of cell phones and convenience who would have ever thought you would be on your phone when setting in the doctor's office or walking down the aisle looking for groceries....

We are and have become our worst enemy in a lot of respects

really it's true, just call me let's talk about it

I couldn't agree more! Love the ideas from AksarbeN and Satx too, LOL.

The other day I was in the classic joke scenario for real...went to a public restroom stall and there was a woman in another stall having an animated conversation while doing her "business"
