Today's Question(s):

How many of our QOTD family have a GPS unit in your car ?
I have one.

If you “don’t” and you get lost what do you do first ?
The first thing I do is wish I had not gotten lost. Then, since I am a man and men do not ask for directions, I backtrack to where I was not lost. Sometimes I have to repeat this step several times before getting to where I wanted to go.

Can you re-fold a road map ?
I am very good at that. I am equally good at crumpling, shredding, tossing out the window, or cramming maps into the glove box.

Bonus Question:

When you were a kid did you have

A teen line for yourself ?
There was never a chance of that happening. Three of the places we lived while growing up only had the old fashion crank style phone systems. The phone rang at everyones house. I remember one of our phone numbers was 3 longs and a short.

An extension phone from the main line in your room ?
Nope

Sigh everyone heard my conversations ?
Everyone in the housing compound could listen in on my phone conversations if they wanted to.

*and for those younger QOTD members*
Define "younger"

Instead, did you have your own cell phone ?
I am guessing I am not included in the defination of "younger" so I will go no for my answer.

Extra Credit Question:
Lets talk about crayons !!

How many crayons did you have in the box ?
I usually only had the starter pack of 8 crayons. There was always someone at school that would show up with the 128 crayon box. The rest of us would sorta borrow what we needed when they were not looking.

When coloring in a coloring book did you

Stay in the lines ?
Trace around the lines first ?"
Not only did I color outside the lines but I often had blue trees
Let's just say there are none of my colorings hanging in any art gallery. For that matter I do not ever recall my mom hanging any of my colorings on the fridge. Hmmmm...

Just for Fun:

Is any one watching the Baseball playoffs ?
Sorta watching

If so, which team are you rooting for ?
Not rooting for anyone.

How many of our QOTD family have a GPS unit in your car ? We do. We bought for that that JAX trip last spring

If you “don’t” and you get lost what do you do first ? Get the map out of the glove compartment. You all do still carry maps, right?

Can you re-fold a road map ? If I stay calm, yes. Otherwise it gets folded any way I can.

Bonus Question:

When you were a kid did you have

A teen line for yourself ? Are you kidding? We still had a party line!

An extension phone from the main line in your room ? My older sister got that.

Sigh everyone heard my conversations ? Yes, but I didn't care. The party line snoopers used to listen in and I loved to jerk their chain!

*and for those younger QOTD members*

Instead, did you have your own cell phone ?

Extra Credit Question:
Lets talk about crayons !!

How many crayons did you have in the box ? 64

When coloring in a coloring book did you

Stay in the lines ? Yes, and I shaded my pictures as well.

Babble

I turned on the heat today. 58 degrees in here when I got up. I suppose it's time. If the leaves would drop the sun would get in through the windows and I wouldn't need the furnace! Our first freeze is expected this weekend. Bye-bye leaves.

Got firewood brought in today. Mrs. Tek is coming home (she just called and is almost home - "Open the doors I have to pee!!". Don't you ever tell her I told you that!) and I think an evening with a fire is a great idea.

Have a good evening and a great weekend!

Today's Question(s):

How many of our QOTD family have a GPS unit in your car? Not I

If you “don’t” and you get lost what do you do first? Stamp my little feet and have a hissy. Then I ask for directions. After driving around aimlessly for another 4 hours.

Can you re-fold a road map? Not like it was folded when I unfolded it. When I'm finished with it, it looks like a pile of old newspapers.

Bonus Question:

When you were a kid did you have

A teen line for yourself? HA! With my parents?

An extension phone from the main line in your room? Yes, one of these, after I installed the wiring and the jack, then bought my own ancient, black rotary dial Stromberg-Carlson phone for 10 bucks from Allied Electronics.

Extra Credit Question:
Lets talk about crayons !!

How many crayons did you have in the box? I think it was 64? maybe more. Too long ago.

When coloring in a coloring book did you

Stay in the lines? Anally so

Just for Fun:

Is any one watching the Baseball playoffs Religiously
If so, which team are you rooting for? Angels and Dodgers, of course. If they're knocked out, then I'll be pulling for whatever team is playing against the Yankoffs.

Today is:

Moldy Cheese Day
National Sneakers Day

I see a connection between these two days.
