Good morning! today's questions:

Meet the "Honey-do-list" fairy, you can call him Fred. What are some of the items on the list that you will have Fred take care of? Lots! New tires for the jeep, trim the tree, need a dishwasher and installed, etc., etc.

Bonus question: Is the "time change" messing with anyones sleep schedule? No, not really. My sleep schedule is based on one important item, a sleeping pill.

Who here also changed the batteries in their smoke detectors when they turned their clocks back? I do!

Vegetarian awareness day. I just love veggies in general!

Hope everybody has a great day!

Today's Question(s):

Meet the "Honey-do List Fairy" you can call him Fred !!

What are the some of the items on the list that you will have Fred take care of ?....Oh Fred, are you ever in trouble I don't have a honey to tell what to do so Fairy Fred might as well plan on hanging around for a couple of years....at least.

Bonus Question:

Is the "time change" messing with anyone's "sleep schedule" ?
just waking up earlier

I would like to give the person that claims "you get an extra hour of sleep" a piece of my mind, because now I wake up at 5 am ?

Extra Credit Question:

Who here also changed the batteries in their smoke detectors when they turned their clocks back ?....good idea!!

(our newspaper said you should do this )

Today in History:

Should have called it "the money pit"
1974 - Art Modell gets snowed in and misses his 1st Cleveland Brown game in 33 yrs......aw man, that sucks

Word of the Day:

happy Monday, All! Took a long weekend and drove down to see my sister & family in Columbia, SC. Columbia's a great place to live, even if they don't have Skyline Chili restaurants!

Today's Question(s):

Meet the "Honey-do List Fairy" you can call him Fred !!

What are the some of the items on the list that you will have Fred take care of ? Let's see; my loving wife did a LOT around the hosue while I was gone. But maybe Fred could put us a new light in the laundry room; the old one's going bad...

Bonus Question:

Is the "time change" messing with anyone's "sleep schedule" ? I actually never felt the time change this year. Woke up early at my sister's hosue and spent all day on the road. Nothing seemed different to me yesterday...

I would like to give the person that claims "you get an extra hour of sleep" a piece of my mind, because now I wake up at normal time (which is "whenever" for me...)

Extra Credit Question:

Who here also changed the batteries in their smoke detectors when they turned their clocks back ? I'm well aware of it but we haven't done it yet...

(our newspaper said you should do this )

Today in History:
1889 - North Dakota becomes 39th and South Dakota becomes 40th state
And thus became known as "NoDak" & "SoDak"!
1904 - British newspaper, "Daily Mirror," begins publishing

1947 - Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" flies for 1st (& last) time

Word of the Day:
irenic \eye-REN-ik; -REE-nik\ , adjective;

Today is:
National Deviled Egg Day MAN, I love 'em!!!
Split Pea Soup Day Love split pea soup; in Germany we'd go on a "Volksmarch" (a 6.2 mile hike) and then have split pea soup with wurst at the end (kinda defeats the purpose of the exercise, but who cares; it was GOOOOOD!)
Traffic Directors Day
Look for Circles Day As opposed to "going around in circles" day?
Name your Car Day "Fred"?
Vegetarian Awareness - lol I am aware I do not like veggies I don't know care WHAT President Bush the Elder says; I LOVE broccoli! (Especially with cheese sauce!)
Notary Public Day - I am a Notary Karla, I thought a "Notary Republic" would take up much more real estate than a desk top!

Honey do list?
Well, my husband helped me out greatly by cleaning out my closet, but my closet was soooo bad there's still much work to do there.....(my husband is the organizer type, unfortunately, I'm not.)

other item on honey do list is we have some cute shelves (cabinet) we got from his mother when she moved into a smaller place recently. I would like to have them hung up in the kitchen. It requires special hooks etc. I'd do it myself but my husband questions my ability to hang them securely enough for his taste.

The "falling forward" in the Fall never messes with my sleep schedule. I like to sleep later and usually do if I'm not having to get up for work or church. (night owl here!)

Name your car day:
My car's name is Ebony, but I don't tell many people she has a name!

Today's Question(s):

Meet the "Honey-do List Fairy" you can call him Fred !!
What are the some of the items on the list that you will have Fred take care of ?
Well, I don't think this question applies to me yet.. But I'm still waiting for that special woman. - See? I can answer a question without getting in trouble..

Bonus Question:

Is the "time change" messing with anyone's "sleep schedule" ?
It wasn't the time change that messed up my sleep schedule last night, we don't go on DST in the spring, what messed up my sleep was a phone call call from work at 1:45 this morning.. I am on call this week, so anything that goes wrong in the middle of the night, I have to fix it or contact the person who's responsible for the program to fix it..

I would like to give the person that claims "you get an extra hour of sleep" a piece of my mind, because now I wake up at When Karla posts the Question Of The Day topic? I don't know, I couldn't think of anything..

HELLO ALL YOU QOD'ers!!! HAPPY NOVEMBER!!!

Long time, no see! Wandered away, wandered back - hope everyone is doing just dandy! Karla, thanks for continuing to do such a great job with this thread!

Today's Question(s):

Meet the "Honey-do List Fairy" - you can call him Fred!! What will you have Fred take care of? Finish repainting my kitchen, repaint my whole house inside and out, take down wallpaper in bathroom and paint it, put on a new roof, stop all leaks in this dang house once and for all , redo all my floors, and train my kids how NOT to ruin them and clean my garage! Think he can handle it?

Is the "time change" messing with anyone's "sleep schedule"? Yes, surprisingly - it doesn't usually.

Who here also changed the batteries in their smoke detectors when they turned their clocks back? Not me.

1920 - 1st commercial radio station goes on air KDKA (Pittsburgh). I know someone who lives there! She's a rascal!
1947 - Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" flies for 1st (& last) time. Why?

irenic \eye-REN-ik; -REE-nik\ , adjective; 1. Tending to promote peace; conciliatory. I like the meaning but the sound kind of doesn't match it. Sounds too close to ironic.

National Deviled Egg Day - yummmmmm
Split Pea Soup Day - eh
Traffic Directors Day - we could use some at our high school; arrrgghh, the LINES!!!!
Look for Circles Day - whaaat???
Name your Car Day - never have, not gonna start now
Vegetarian Awareness - lol I am aware I do not like veggies - I am aware that I loves me some vegees!
Notary Public Day - I am a Notary - cool, Karla, I'm NOT a NOTary!

Have a GREAT day everyone!!!

What are the some of the items on the list that you will have Fred take care of? Paint the full bath.

Bonus Question:

Is the "time change" messing with anyone's "sleep schedule"? Nope. I go to sleep when I want, get up when I want.

Extra Credit Question:

Who here also changed the batteries in their smoke detectors when they turned their clocks back? I don't bother putting batteries in my smoke detectors.

(our newspaper said you should do this )

Today in History:
1920 - 1st commercial radio station goes on air KDKA (Pittsburgh) I've never understood why that station's call letters start with a K.

Today is:
National Deviled Egg Day Meh
Split Pea Soup Day Mmmmm
Look for Circles Day I won't be doing this
Name your Car Day I hereby name my car "****box".
Vegetarian Awareness - I had a vegetarian supper last night. Too early. Oh well.

Okay, start with cleaning the bathroom, washing my truck, make some pancakes, vacuum the living room and bring the dog in before the landlord gets here to cut down that dead tree out back!
Then, maybe you can play for awhile!
