We buy the ketchup (or catsup) in the squeeze bottle with the flip top and as soon as we open it and put it in the fridge it goes in upside down. Not only is the ketchup right there ready to go but all that watery stuff that seperates from the ketchup while sitting there is on top and you're using what's at the bottom.

Somebody mentioned buying their honey in bottles like that. I'm going to have to do that. I don't use honey that much, just in BBQ sauce (3 parts Heinz 57, 2 parts honey). It gets so hard that I have to soften it in the microwave to get it out every time I use it.

Bottom line is, I try to steer clear of pump bottles. Even when it means taking out the pump and replacing with a water bottle cap so at least the last ounce or so doesnt get wasted. If youre going to get less anyway, may as well utilize it all.

On the plastic Heinz ketchup bottles they made the lid a log bigger so you can store it upside down easily. Allowing you to get all that ketchupy goodness. Heniz is the only good ketchup, IMO.

As a klutzy person, I am very glad most things come in plastic now. I can't tell you how much crap I broke at the grocery where I used to work that was in glass. One time, I knocked over and entire display of those 64 oz. glass bottles of Musselman's Applesauce. Had they been plastic, I wouldn't have broken 30 bottles of it.
