Single socks that get lost somewhere between the washer and the dryer or clothesline.

Usually 4 letter words come out of my mouth in said situation.
Almost as irritating as all the damn socks suddenly magically developing holes at the same time.

This happens mostly in the winter when I wear socks to bed. Many times I wake up with 1 sock on and the other is lost in the bed somewhere. I find when the bed in made (sometimes) and the socks are eventually reunited. I agree with the holes - they suddenly appear and usually it's my right foot.

This is a HUGE problem in my home! I have an entire laundry basket filled with assorted singletons waiting for their mate to return? How is it possible that so many mates are lost in one house?? Possibly under kids beds? Possibly behind the bureau or dresser? Possibly in one of your homes???? I think we may end out with other peoples socks somehow during the wash cycle! LOL
