Default Pertinacious - How does it apply?

Several people have conjectured who the prevaricators may be, but the more I think about it, one or two, or perhaps more are just

pertinacious
\puhr-tin-AY-shuhs\, adjective:
1. Holding or adhering obstinately to any opinion, purpose, or design.
2. Stubbornly or perversely persistent.

Meaning 2 might ring a bell for some, but not others, but it sings to me each time I see the same subject repeated in several different ways on differing days by the same handles.

What do you think?

(and another word for our CD CEO, HDL)

GREAT word! I'll try to use that in a sentence today. I am guilty of being pertinacious with my golf game. I KNOW I should be rolling my wrist on impact but continue to keep trying the method I have for so many years. I have figured out what I am doing wrong though...I am standing too close to the ball...after I hit it

I think that word goes on in action at my work everyday, and boy is it good times... NOT!

It could be as you say.
It can be off-putting, also a bit sad.

Unhappy Ellie, vpcats and I just had a video conference meeting this morning

Our minds are about to IMPLODE (or EXPLODE - I can't remember Ellie's exact words ). This WORD a day idea is just TOO much for some of the folks here at CD forums . Can you switch to a NEW WORD a week?? And then give Brownie Pts to all those posters who use the new word correctly in a post on CD??

And OTR, I respect you need to pontificate to the CD audience, but please don't 'imply' that I'm the CEO of CD, the nuns might get angry and hit me with a ruler again !

Oh, dear, have I elevated your status too high; accept my apology.

And, we don't need a word a day, least I run out before the month is out.

And sham on the nuns if they get angry over a mere title.

Hope your video chat was a huge success--and that Ellie is a dangerous one with or without words!

Well, that word describes my thoughts about vasinger.

Unfortunately. I would like to see some threads on P and OC which are well-intended and people agree with (I know.... too much to ask!)

I had to look that one up, even after OTR provided the definition since I wanted to check for antonyms. Poor instant dictionary could barely digest it and all I got in the way of opposites was docile. Maybe tractable? I dunno. Conciliatory?

Tractable might work!

Not docile, and not likely conciliatory!

Oh, well, I'm going back to the dark side where dictionaries are the wellspring of wall art.
