Hey all well back from MIL
Yikes I am full !!!
The turkey was really good

ok for all of you that lovingly tease me about the way I eat
I --are you ready---
Tried a new food !!!!
Actually between yesterday and today I tried 2 new foods

Last night hubby made black eyed peas and I tried them , and MIL made rutabagas today tried them too
rofl I know you are all shocked

Well I did make an agreement with my kids at school that we would all try something new over the Thanksgiving break so in order to set a good example I had to agree to try something too
So whew that is covered

oh almost forgot didn't like either one. Don't think they will be showing up on my plate again

Oh so I went outside this morning well actually sent hubby out to pick up the paper from the driveway and it wasn't there everyone else had a paper in their driveway
lol I had been waiting all morning to get my hands on the ad fliers for tomorrow and nothing !!!!

So I actually got dressed and drove to the corner to get one who would steal someones paper on thanksgiving

Well off to I guess watch the game on TV
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day !!!

What a "GREAT" teacher! Glad you tried two new foods. However, sometimes you have to try a new food several times before you acquire a taste for it. I love both black eyed peas and rutabagas...unfortunately, there is not much I don't like. I used to dislike many things...and the list is getting smaller and smaller. So...prime example of learning to like foods.
Sales! I'm just going with a friend to pick up whatever deals I can find. No competitive shopping here.
A few days ago I said I wasn't going and since then I got roped into it.

I actually have a grading system for new foods I try

A,B,C
A - yummmm I will eat this again and often
B - eh maybe if I eat enough of it I might like it
C - Shall not pass my lips again

I would say of the 2 I tried the black eyed peas were a B I think these were over cooked because they were kinda grainy textured and mushy

the rutabaga a C

Babble

Woke up to 57 degrees in the house. Furnace not running. Had to blow junk out of a plastic pipe (every six months). Manufacturer has a two hundred dollar fix-it kit, but I think it should be under warranty since it was a design error. Won't be buying anything from that company again.

Some more pictures from the cruise. Not too many yet from Grand Cayman. We took disposables because we were mainly in the water (swimming with Stingrays)

Sunrise at Grand Cayman.

Sunrise at Roatan. Have you noticed I like sunrises and sunsets?

Roatan kiosks. The first one at the left, Victor Bodden, is where we booked our Zip Line and beach excursion (off ship booking).

Everyone enjoy their evening.
