Today in History:

1931 - Alka Seltzer goes on sale
True story I learned in a marketing class when I was in college. Alka Seltzer used to carry the instructions, "take one or two tablets as needed for indigestion." After several years on the market, sales of the product leveled off, having pretty much penetrated the desired target market. So the marketing folks talked to the medical folks and asked them, "Since either one or two tablets can be taken safely, is there any danger in taking two tablets every time?" The answer came back, "No."

So the marketing team put their heads together to figure out how they could convince their current users to take two tablets every time, so they could effectively double their sales. And thus was born the now infamous jingle, "Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz, Oh what a relief it is!"

Today is:

Let's Hug Day

Have a wonderful day, everybody!

Yep on the tools.... in fact, for Mothers' day...I got a new air compressor for my nail gun....made me warm and fuzzy. Black & Decker outlet store.......sigh.....bliss, absolute bliss. I love my workshop hehe...Hubby loves that I love my workshop! Come on, what could be more win, win for him. He can get away with buying tools for me.....LOL and get big hugs and kisses, not scowls and grumbles. Yeah....definite aphrodisiac
