National Chocolate Candy Day - Is that also a paid holiday for those who like chocolate?
National Quilter's Day - I tried it one time but it's not for me.. I ended up celebrating National Quitters Day instead..
No Interruptions Day - So does that mean I need to interrupt whatever I'm doing and celebrate No Interruptions Day?
Snap and Crack Your Gum Day - Hmmm.. I assume we're talking about chewing gum and not the gums where your teeth are sitting.. that might get a little painful..
Call-a-Friend Day - I called him and I left a voice mail..

When do I take down Christmas stuff?
Not until I absolutely have to in order not to be totally socially "unacceptable." I love Christmas! I hate, hate hate to have to take it down. I usually take it down sometimes after the first. Sometimes not till after January 6th (which some liturgical groups mark as Epiphany and the official "end" of Christmas.)

Our Christmas gifts are either now in use or put away.

Do you have a new 2010 calendar?

Yep, I have 2 and I bought them both!

How long do we keep appliance boxes?
only till we can get them out to the garbage

My "to do" list today?
go to work

Hard to feel sorry for you Karla. Today is the warmest day for the next 15. It will reach a balmy 31F. We've been wearing socks for a while.

Today's Question:

Are your presents still under the tree or have they all been put away ?
Tags off and put away.

When do you "take down Christmas" ?
We'll start New Years Day and continue thru the weekend until it's done. Jan 9 the Valentines day decorations go out.

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ?
You have calender, singular. Am I the only one here that needs more than 1 calender? To answer the question we have 3. One for the desk and one each for the wall in the kitchen and

Did you buy it or was it given to you ?
Desk calender comes from NHRA Track Announcers Guild, wall calenders come, for free, through the mail.

Extra Credit Question:

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ?
Depends on the value of the item. Living in metro Chicago I find it a good practice not to advertise that I have a new ___________. There are people that cruise around on garbage day just to see what homes are ripe.

Just for Fun:

What is on your "To Do" list for today ?
We need to go to the grocery store.

Are your presents still under the tree or have they all been put away ? Everything has been put away.

When do you "take down Christmas" ? We always keep the tree/decoration up at least until Jan 7th. Then we take them down.

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ? Yep. It's already hanging up!

Did you buy it or was it given to you ? We never buy calanders....lol....ours is a dog calender given to us by our dog groomer. We've gotten our calender from her the past seven years.

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ? At least 90 days.

What is on your "To Do" list for today ? 1. Go to the bank and retrieve my ATM card that I left in the ATM machine yesterday. 2. Take some homemade soup and cookies to a cyber friend I have on another message board. 3. Take the car through the car wash. 4. Vacuum, dust and do some laundry at home. 5. Relax and do some reading of a book I got for Christmas.
