Do you have your 2010 calender ?
Yes

Did you buy it or was it given to you ?
I bought several dozen Avon calendars to give to my customers and kept one for myself - after all, I am my biggest customer!

Today's Question:

When do you "take down Christmas" ? I started taking other decorations down. Everything must be packed to move so I'm in a quandry whether to make this mess before New Years or after??? I usually do this Jan 2 or so. It really will be a mess (keep this, donate that, sell this). I guess I will tackle the tree today since most things just need to be packed to move. I'm having a few people over for New Years Eve and when talking to them, it seems most are ready for Christmas to be over so, yes, the tree will come down today.

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ? Several

Did you buy it or was it given to you ? I received 3 in the mail from places I make yearly donations to.

Extra Credit Question:

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ? Until I can't stand having it around anymore and now I'm glad I kept some of them as I will need these boxes to move.

Just for Fun:

What is on your "To Do" list for today ? The tree

Snap and Crack Your Gum Day - I am so glad to see that most of you also hate this!! My absolute top pet peeve - the one time I wonder if I will be able to "hold my tongue" (What an odd expression!)!!

Good morning.......

Today's Question:
Are your presents still under the tree or have they all been put away ? No!

When do you "take down Christmas" ? I started the other day....the tree was first to come down.

Bonus Question:
Do you have your 2010 calender ? Yes!

Did you buy it or was it given to you ?
It was given to us! Boy, was I glad.
Those things can get expensive.....of course the one I like always is!

Extra Credit Question:
When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ?
Just long enough to use the appliance a few times to make sure nothing goes wrong and we do not need to take it back!

Just for Fun:
What is on your "To Do" list for today ?
Laundry and straightening the home a little.

Today in History:
1958 - Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon and Theodore with David Seville) hit #1.....
Yay..... for the Chipmunks, love those three little guy's!!

Today is:
National Chocolate Candy Day......my goodness it has been chocolate candy day here every since the Christmas holiday started and it seems like all those 1, 2, 3 lbs of box of chocolates have turned in 10 lbs on my body.... probably due to the fact when it comes to a box of chocolate it's !!!

National Quilter's Day......tried quilting, but didn't have the patience to sit there and sew all those little blocks of fabric together, then the bigger blocks of fabric made by the little blocks together by hand.
Now days they do it with the machine and to me that just is not really quilting.

No Interruptions Day...... I can go for this!

Card Playing Day....... Have an excuse to try out a new card game we got..... the one called "Scrabble Slam".

Snap and Crack Your Gum Day......

Call-a-Friend Day........
Spent a few hours last week with a friend on the phone. Man, did my ear hurt....haven't done that in a long time. A lot of good things to talk about.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL DAY~WEEK !!!

Bonus Question:

Did you buy it or was it given to you ? sent to me from the community stores with coupons

Extra Credit Question:

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ? as soon as I open it, I use it.

Just for Fun:

Good morning Karla and fellow QOTD'ers...

Happy Monday to you all!

It was a bit warmer here this morning by 10 degrees...it was about 31 yesterday morning...now they say we might get some rain.

There isn't a lot to put away really...I'll do the Christmas "take down" today, which consists of just picking up my little lighted tree and sticking it and the table centerpiece in the cupboard...easy!!

I bought a 2010 calender and now I can't find it!!! Guess it's time to get rid of more "stuff"!!

My "To Do" list for today is short...put the Christmas Tree away, straighten up a bit, and go to lunch with hubby.

1981 - Warner-Elektra-Atlantic raises price of 45 records from $1.68 to $1.98...I still have many of these packed away...Bobby Darrin, Elvis, Frankie Avalon, Paul Anka....

Wishing you all a marvelous Monday friends...have a blessed week ahead!

Are your presents still under the tree or have they all been put away ?
All presents that needed to be charged, tested and put in their proper place.
All other presents have been dutifully assigned to the location to which they were assigned.

When do you "take down Christmas" ?
Not much to take down, but it will be after New Years.

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ?
I think so.

Did you buy it or was it given to you ?
We usually get a freebee.

Extra Credit Question:

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ?
Depends, Right now they are lined up in the garage to be recycled. Son #2 may want one to pack some stuff in when he fly's back to WA.

Just for Fun:

What is on your "To Do" list for today ?
Need to clean the office and back yard and prepare for a airport run.

Today's Question:

Are your presents still under the tree or have they all been put away ? no tree this year and since I have no job, only got presents from inlaws. They sent us socks, scarves and gloves.

When do you "take down Christmas" ? Since I didn't "put up Christmas" there is nothing to take down

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ? yes

Did you buy it or was it given to you ? I caught a nice deal at Walmart and paid 1.75 for a small one to hang on my fridge

Extra Credit Question:

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ? usually awhile, we have plenty of xtra space under our stairs for them, but not a lot of room in our recycle bin. I can usually add 1 additional box to the recycling every two weeks, so it takes awhile to get rid of them.

Just for Fun:

What is on your "To Do" list for today ? Today I have to go to the college and buy 2 books that I can't find anywhere else and change the degree I'm going for, eat lunch with 2 of my former co-workes, who also got laid off, mail one of last semester's textbook that I sold on Ebay, laundry and dishes.

ETA: Look for a job as well

Until the warranty runs out

Hopefully I won't have to drag out the sheets to cover the plants

Looks like it may be time to break out the socks

Today's Question:

Are your presents still under the tree or have they all been put away ? Most are put away but not all.

When do you "take down Christmas" ? Usually mid-January (not uncommon here).

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ? Yup, several.

Did you buy it or was it given to you ? Mine came from the job. I do usually buy one nice one for the house but didn't this year.

Extra Credit Question:

When you get a new electronic item or appliance, how long do you keep the boxes ? Sometimes for the duration of the warranty; it all depends on what it is.

Just for Fun:

What is on your "To Do" list for today ? Not much. I do plan to wrap and pack a late Christmas box to mail to my brother, along with a birthday present in it. (There is a reason I didn't send it sooner.)

Going to fill out a couple of New Year's greeting cards, which is what I do when I receive an unexpected Christmas card.

Today is:
National Chocolate Candy Day Oh, I'll be there!
National Quilter's Day
No Interruptions Day Yeah, right!
Card Playing Day
Snap and Crack Your Gum Day
Call-a-Friend Day There's one I should call.
Have a good continuing season everyone!

Bonus Question:

Do you have your 2010 calender ?

Well, since calendar days fall on the same weekdays every 28 years, I just reuse old calendars, so for the new year, I just reuse the Sports Illustrated Swim Suit calendar from 1982...
