News and a question, How many hours of sleep do you get in a day?
I'm lucky to get a 7 hours of sleep in a day. I go to bed at 10:00pm and then wake up around 2:00 am and then back to sleep till a hour later. I have weird sleep pattens.
News, Cornish Man Stays Awake For 11 Days; Sets New World Record In Sleeplessness
London, England (AHN) - A Cornish man claimed to have kept awake for 11 days straight in an attempt to better the Guinness record for sleep deprivation.
The 42-year-old horticulturist, Tony Wright had begun his "stay awake" program on May 14 as part of his research on relationship between physical state and sleep. He had undertaken similar experiments in the past but for lesser durations.
The program ended Friday morning.
Wright was monitored by a web camera and CCTV at the Studio Bar in Penzance, west Cornwall throughout.

I do not sleep. I post on City-Data. I was in surgery and I DREAMED that I was on City-Data. I think that since September 06 I have not slept. Somewhere out there is an attorney just waiting to sue.

I dunno. You just don't mess with sleep. Or at least you ought to think twice about it.

I get around 9 hours most of the time, if I don't get at least that then my health starts to go to hell so I need my sleep.

I'm with you...I have to get enough sleep or it all comes off the spool...
I require at least 8 but there are times when if I am comfortable and nothing is pressing for the morning then I LOVE to grab a little more.

Usually six hours a night... That's not enough, but on Thursday nights when I go out, I have to get up for work the next day after only three and a half hours of sleep! Fridays are tough for me, no doubt about it! I've caught myself making the dumbest mistakes, so sleep deprivation really affects me, even though I don't look like it does. I love it when I can actually get eight hours. I've been an insomniac my entire life, so it's difficult.

Varies wildly. Some weekends I'll get 10 hours. Some weeknights I feel fortunate if I get 3.
I go through bouts of insomnia when I will average 25-30 hours a week, then I'll finally crash and sleep straight through for 12. I don't do that as often as I used to.

If I get less than six I'm useless. I try to get 8 but that's a rarity------ every six or 8 weeks I'll crash hard for 10-12 hours and that helps me to recharge.
